Oh well guys I guess you cannot win them all. Interesting fact and I am going back a while when my mum was alive, we had about 4 chippys in our village. One did better chips than the other , one did better fish than the other as well as mushy peas. I tell you no lie. Fridays chippy night had 3 chippy visits to satisfy our taste. Well worth it but pretty bonkers. We always got pineapple fritters that came from the chippy that did best mushy peas. Omg🤪🤪😂😂😂😂😂

The Wee Chippy is the winner, hands down then eh.....nuffin worse than gettin food you think is gunna be Boss and then it's not ....ahhh well at least the cobwebs got blew away ....plenty of good fresh air down there by the looks of it ...Boss vlog guys.....😎

What a lovely looking day, bar the sea breeze. I used to drive my motorcycle hear, from just south of Aberdeen, to get my breakfast, once a month, during summer. Was always a sit down. Then my uncle George who lives here, told me to try the wee chippy. Bike was sold, and have not returned. The fish did look dry. Looks like they batch cooked, as many fish in hot plate. Ok, maybe only just been put there. Nice review. Thanks. Oh, village called Strathmiglo of the A91 has the Strath Tavern, they did a gorgeous steak pie. My late parents used to, been the rented cottages in the area.

Totally agree with review went there Friday past 12.35 for a sit in supper one bit fish, all I got and chips Weren’t all that either. I’ll be going to the wee chippy,or the waterfront chip shop next time. Curry sauce was dire too, very disappointing overall never the best Fish and chips in Scotland.

Such a shame , the first shop looked so much better. The fish looked ok . Poor Tracy had to deal with the wind in her hair . Did not like the look of those peas like you said they may have been off! Love how Tracy is so discriptive on how she can taste and feel about the food . As always though great review.❤️💙🙏🏽👏🏼👏🏼

agree with you both looked a little on the soggy part on top where it was white on the batter the chips did look nice to me peas to me looked awfull to thick and pale not enough pea green tablets used when they were soaked over night....i use to work in chip shop for 14yrs in york city center hence why i watch more of your chippy blogs its a 7/10 from the look of it all

The best fish n chips i had in scotland was in st Andrews! Anstruther is hit or miss. I remember going to Whitby in england and havine the awrd winning fish n chips from Trenchers and that was really greasy but The Msgpie Cafe one was excellent. Safe travels🙂👍👋

My last two fish and chips were Whitby and South Shields, two fishing ports.. both are the worst I've ever had. You would think you would get good fish at either? Colemans at South Shields just live off their name and rep TBH.

The food review club have never done the The wee chippy …? We have spoken to many Scottish people in and around Anstruther who also agree with us, saying the Anstruther fish bar is not what it used to be … if you watch both of our reviews from Anstruther .. you will see the difference in quality 😃

Hi Sharon, yes we did do them both on the same day , that way both where fresh in our memory for a comparison.. we did expect them both to be fantastic, while the wee chippy lived up to that scoring a perfect 10 , the Anstruther Fish bar did not at all - the fish was greasy, and left a greasy feeling in our mouth and the chips tasted odd like they had been left soaking in a solution of sorts ..? Your observation is correct , no need to apologise ❤️🙏🏻👍🏻

Anstruther fish bar was the best fish and chips I have ever tasted. But plan on trying the wee chippy on my next visit to Anstruther.
