      @@IbnBahtuta Well the immersive bit came at the end actually..... But what could possibly happen next ("to be continued"....) in this frenetic tale of absolute extremes?
      I have a question however: given that the less than totally robust descent craft was ripped full of holes, how come the intrepit survivor appears to be only up to his ankles when the sharttered vehicle reaches the bottom of the sea? Or am I misinterpreting the final scenes?

    One question that seems pretty important. How did it go from being in a ship that was torn apart and exposed to the atmosphere to being in a waterproof ship at the bottom of the ocean what magic happened to give him an intact vessel

    • @brianwhitford6086
      @brianwhitford6086 2 года назад +10

      Being a spaceship, it would be obvious that the cargo ship was meant to be air tight. And despite the damage, the cargo hold seemed mostly intact. And as for how he survived, When the ship hit the ocean's surface and he fell into the hatch, it's possible that the force of the wave forced the cargo hatch shut. As for how the ship didn't disintegrate in an ocean of acid, it should be known that, when it comes to space, every precaution must be taken. So, it must've been foresight that led to building a ship that would not corrode in acid. I can't really explain why the spaceship fell apart when they entered the storm. But I can harbinger a guess that it was the result of extreme heating from entry to extreme cooling from the storm that weakened the structure. Or perhaps the storm was simply to strong for the ship to handle. This could also imply that these ships were still in their infancy, probably the first to be launched. Hence forth, there were drawbacks. Then again, we've never seen a space shuttle attempt re-entry through a storm. I reiterate that this is all just a theory based on what I know about spaceships.

  • @ksfirewolf1530

    For those confused on how he’s in a dry space, it appears that the ship had two sections: an upper crew/passenger area and a lower vehicle hold. Why the lower section held up FAR better than the top is a little confusing to me, but you can see a split frame right after the craft hits water that he is thrown back onto a pretty solid hatch which then closes. Mind blowingly excellent short and amazingly captivating. Makes me want to see more just from the gear used from the vehicles in the vehicle bay to the Altyn style helmets used.

    • @switch4895
      @switch4895 2 года назад +1

      Maybe since top deck had a front windscreen that was blown out, air pressure could have made torrents in the top deck and helped tear it apart. Lower deck would obviously be more armored and shielded from heat as well as not have any forward-facing windows to be blown out. Hatch wise, well, who knows. Maybe it got flipped upside down or something.

    • @StyxRiverGynoid
      @StyxRiverGynoid 2 года назад +1

      I'm with @switch, above. Given the brief shot we get close to the start that showed the underside to be almost like a Thunderbird-2 sort of module, chances are it was designed to be independent in all respects to the dropship/lifter. But yeah, this is one of the rarer kinds of videos on CG Bros that absolutely is screaming out for more.

      I for one would like to know what that wheel before the deluge came was attached to.
      I'd _really_ like to know why this looked like they used _military_ dropships to evacuate a _colonist_ transport, full of people in pretty blatant military gear. "Colonists" or "Conquerors"? ... maybe their need to evacuate was the inhabitants of the world objecting to squatters :)

An experience that's frightening to think about as it unfolds, especially as so much is suddenly ripped and torn away, and the genuine wonder of how one could possibly survive while more loss somehow continues to remain a looming threat.

    This was ridiculous. No explanation for why the pilots in full atmosphere would just suddenly go unconscious or die. No explanation for all the PAPER blowing in the wind!? wtf is there a printing press in the cabin up front? I thought this was the future. The dramatic tension is worthless if it goes on too long or isn't consistent within itself. Soldier dude cannot summon the strength to grab a mask during a bit of turbulence, but is able to hang onto not one but TWO pieces of metal with his fingertips as the shredded plane is hurtling towards it's doom? Then! Suddenly, miraculously, he gets swept into a water-tight section of the absolutely destroyed ship with NO LEAKS OF ANY KIND. Amazing. We are SOOOOOO dramatic here - so dramatically unbelievable. Then, randomly, ABYSS!!
    Yes, this trailer turned in the 1990s classic Abyss for practically no conceivable reason. Such a waste. So much talent in design and artistry here, and so little in story-writing or direction.

    Kinda interested to see how it continues from here. Ship's gone. Mothership seems to have just crushed your dropship. Trapped at the bottom of an ocean of acid in a submersible that might very well not be rated to last all that long in such conditions.
    Or maybe it is. Not looking good, though. Especially being a sole survivor.

    Would be neat to see this connect with your older "end of the war" shorts.

    Thrilling and awesomely done and I respect and truly think The CGBros" are top 10. but unless there is a part 2 this is the worst ending since the mist. i hope there is a finally.
