I have been waiting for this review! I have a torped I use for lining but I couldn’t decide on getting a second torped machine or the soldier max for shading and color packing! Great review as always! 🔥🔥🔥
I’ve two torpeds , one with a 5mm cam and one with a 4mm, great little machines
Is the torped good for shading ??
@@chrisantusmbuguah3594 I ended up getting a second one and it works perfectly for me for shading with the 4mm stroke. What style do you do? I’m black work and traditional so it works for me and completes my entire setup with my 2 torpeds! They now have a new torped out that’s 36mm with a 5.5mm stroke. 🔥💯❤️
I like this machine but also thought it was a little backheavy with the large battery. I bought two of them with the big and small pack so I could run with the small battery at all times
Glad you picked this one!! I got this machine about month or so ago and I love it the straight drive bar is 🔥..also I see no point in extra battery I tattooed for 2 and a half hours and the battery was still at 100 percent! So why need extra lol thanks for review.

Love the previous Soldier the only thing is that, it’s a little light for me so I use it just on fake skin. I definitely rather stick more with the Torped.
Hey man. In one of your older vids where in you compared the fold 3 vs the fold pro you say at the end that the fold 3 is better than the fold pro. Would you still say you stand by that or has your opinion changed? It’s just I’m looking at purchasing either the fold 3, the fold pro, or the fold 2 pro but I just can’t tell which of the 3 is the best to go with.
I do still stand by that. But that is based on my experience. I would choose the fold 3 and fold pro over the fold 2

Whats volts are you lining at. I just got the machine and i find the vibration to be quite harsh and effect the linework once you go up to 8V
I am a pretty slow liner. Usually between 6 and 7 volts
Which ambitions uses the 2607 ?motor.. same size as falharber 2607

You should review the coffin rotary machine that one is a beast 3d printed I own it and it’s a solid machine only $150 🥵🥵 a steal adjustable as well

Hoi bart, ik zit een beetje je videos te kijken. ik zie op aliexpress veel verschillende machines en ik kom er niet helemaal uit. Ik twijfel tussen een mast fold pro 2 voor 150 euro, een ambition soldier voor 165, een flux max clone van xnet voor 136 of een van yilong voor 70... ik weet het niet wat is de beste onder of rond de 150? en is het handiger om er een met een vaste slag te halen of een verstelbare als het mijn eerste enige machine gaat zijn? ik wil patchwork doen dus veel zwart en lijnen maar ook een beetje shading..

Hey grand, dat is inderdaad altijd lastig. Word dit je eerste machine? Ik vond zelf een vaste slag wel lekkerder. Zeker als je patchwork doet. Doen hoef je niet te veel verschillende lijners te gebruiken of heel veel verschillende slagen voor schaduw. Ik moet zeggen dat de fold 2 wel een goeie machine is voor patchwork. Ondanks dat die wel verstelbaar is. Stuur me anders even een dm op instagram.
Dag Bart, ik zit met een dilemma. Welke tattoopen vind jij persoonlijk de beste om mee te werken en de mooiste werken mee te maken. De ambition soldier max of de fold 3? Misschien een rare vraag maar moet een keuze maken met mijn zuurverdiende spaarcentjes en ik denk dat jij me hier echt wel mee kan helpen. Je gebruikte ze al beide. Kan je Misschien ook laten waarom je welke kiest. Alvadt bedankt, groetjes A.C
Jazeker, het is een beetje een lastige keuze omdat er heel veel factoren bij komen kijken.
Grote voordelen van de fold 3:
2 batterijen
Erg veelzijdig doordat je de slag kan aanpassen.
Kan goed zacht schaduwen.
Goed voor lijnen tot 11rl
Kleuren is redelijk.
Nadelen:
Niet heel sterk voor grote lijnen
Solid kleuren met grotere naalden is matig. (17m+)
Het is geen direct drive, dus er zal uiteindelijk slijtage optreden aan het schijfje.
Ambition max
Voordelen:
Goed in grote lijnen
Goed in solid kleuren
Direct drive, dus geeft een preciezere slag en is slijtvaster en makkelijker te vervangen als de cam stuk gaat.
Nadelen:
Ik kan het niet zacht mee schaduwen.
Geen verstelbare slag (word ook niet geleverd met een 3.5mm zoals vorige model)
Word geleverd met 1 batterij, bij optie van
2 batterijen zijn deze in verschillende maten.
Het is dus een beetje afhankelijk van het werk dat je doet. Ik heb de fold 3 met veel plezier gebruikt. De ambition max daarin tegen wat minder. Maar voor echt oldschool werk pak ik em wel liever dan bijvoorbeeld de fold 3.

Soldier or Torped, soldier max or Torped, which do you prefer?
On the torped its nice you got the option for a longer stroke. I would recommend to use the soldier max over the old soldier machine. So soldier max or torped. It really depends on your style and so on. I like to use a longer stroke from time to time. So i would say torped. Bit the soldier max has a lot of power and can do almost anything as well. I do think the torped was a bit better for me to do shading than the soldier max. But that could be just me. I hope that kind of helped.

Yes they are.. it's 3 different size grips u can choose from but yes they do fit.. come in a box of 12 grips I believe
