you dirty ol scrubber!🤣😂 ...Good to see you back on the vids, Craig...hope the house move has gone well. I don't use a specific tyre cleaner, just GT Decon...none-the-less a good vid👍
Great video, this just proves my point about using Rebound and a Tyre Brush, my mate says I don't need it, he doesn't use it but I will show him this video to prove my point 😎🙌🏻 I have 5Litres of Rebound so happy days, cause sometimes tyres need hit 2 or even 3 times to get them proper clean in prep for a dressing, my go to is the GT Serum, amazing stuff that!
It's good to see you back here with an other video Specky! ⭐In the intro you basically said everything about these dedicated tire cleaners in general. I think, if someone has the budget for a dedicated tire and rubber cleaner, that can be a great addition in the arsenal. In my opinion, their advantages are that: they might clean deeper and much faster (same as you just said as well) but with an extra effort, we can achieve close to the same results with an apc, too. Recently, I caught myself reaching more often for a dedicated cleaner instead of an apc, and I think, once we try a dedicated product on tires, we barely look back for an apc. It was a good one Specky. Looking forward to the next! 🙌
Tenzi clean rims is a wheel and tyre cleaner and it is one of the best tyre cleaners on the market, Just spray it on and it will turn brown straight away
Good to see you back. I've used rebound for a while now and found it very good, but recently have been using GT Decon 10:1 which I find equally as good if not better. Fabulous product.
Great video as always mate. I’ve just got a load of detailed online products which are all very good. I’ve had them previously and wasn’t impressed but found out they don’t sit well. After 6 months they lose there cleaning or hydrophobic capabilities so replaced with new and very good indeed
@@SpeckyMcSporran I had brought and had some delivered from because race car box and left them On the shelf for 6 months. I came to use them and they did not perform and lost there abilities which was a shame. I have now replaced and they are so much better.
Look forward to seeing the rest of it cleaned up, that was absolutely minging 😂 These dedicated tyre products are nice just to grab and go aren’t they but can get as good results and much more cost effective with a strong dilution of apc🤷🏻♂️
Greetings from the the HARTLAND (States)!!! Many Americans use P & S Brake Buster to clean wheels & tires. It can be diluted as well. Or they may use Super Clean, an inexpensive all purpose degreaser with many uses. It is also dilutable. Thanks for your videos...
Hello Specky, great video, these products all worked very well, especially Sams detailing tyre and wheel cleaner.the brush definitely gets the dirt off them.
Thank you for the video. Must admit I've never used specific tyre cleaners in the past but seeing your video maybe I should. I normally just use an ordinary car shampoo and a reasonably stiff brush and when it's dry I dress it with some (don't laugh) multi surface spray polish from Aldi. Have to say, the multi surface spray polish really helps to repel the dirt and grime.
I know it was because you had 4 tyres, but I think you'd have been better including the new Turtle Wax HyperFoam tyre cleaner, and even GT Zero as an alternative. ⭐TW for the views ⭐GT zero to prove that you don't need these dedicated products at all
I know what you mean Dave. I kept the TW for a dedicated video showing the new products they released and the GT point will be featured in a future video 👍🏻
I do think a dedicated tyre cleaner makes a difference versus an APC. The tyre brush is the real game changer though. I tend to use a soft brush on mine with rebound, otherwise it takes the serum off my tyres.
Wow! Those tyres were a real test 🤢 Great video Specky, really showed how important the process and tools are in getting the best out of the products. Really looking forward to your content throughout the year.
I’m always skeptical about the marketing of these types of products, most are just some generic cleaner rebranded as something else to make it sound more appealing , would be genuinely interested to see if fairy liquid and a “tyre cleaner” give vastly different results.
Great video Speccy. Thanks for this! For me, I'm not sure I would choose any of those 4 products to clean my tyres. Get better performance from Adams tyre and rubber I think. When my tyres are absolutely disaster-level dirty, I hit them and the whole wheel with a dose of GT Zero Decon. Bloody fabulous stuff frankly.
I have found when using products other than apc to clean wheels and tyers(still to use dedicated rubber cleaner, difficult to justify another product ...yet ) the main factor was the tyers,so much variances in compounds.all slightly different, the same with dressings....
Happy New Year to you. Another interesting comparison film. I am using GT wheel cleaner now but I have 303 tyre and rubber if I need for a really dirty tyre. I need to ask you where you got the attachment for your stubby gun that lets you adjust the fan of water. Thanks.
Hi just started to watch your video see you rise the wheele an see you had something on you gun what is it an is good for rising your car to ?? Like to look it to this could you say where you got it if not what's the name of it Many thanks it be appreciated Cheers
Great video, enjoyed that but am not going to buy any ,the shelfs in shed are giving way with the amount of products,, clearly see they work but the other half will murder me if I purchase anything 😂😂😂
Interesting - I was always a bit sceptical about tyre cleaners and used a normal APC, then I discovered Rebound and thought this is the mutts... Anyway long story short as I clean the car the other day after a trip to the coast I applied High Definitions Grime Cleaner as a pre cleaner - Tyres instantly brown and didn't need a second visit......I'm left confused now....
Great video, interesting, should I just carry on using surfex hd? or switch to one of these? If so, which? also, get some locking nuts on those steelies, it'll be one bricks one day up there 🤣
Great to have you back brother anyone would think you’ve been busy or something nice test 👍🏻🙌🏻

Lovely Jubbly, I have missed your video's of late Scottie, great to see you back.
Thanks mate, glad to be back. 👍🏻
The winner by far was unquestionably the tyre brush 😉👍🏻
90% process, 10% product

Yep, a good brush is crucial but as you say it's different if you maintain the tyres regularly.
Interesting results. I use Rebound and it does what I need / expect from it but this shows it is maybe not top dog. Good video.
Thank You 👍🏻

Honestly, if you're happy with surfex then stick with it, I'll be making a follow up video about all this.
If you had to buy one of the above with your own money which one or another would it be....
For me personally, considering performance and value for money I would probably pick Detailed Online Purge.

Yeah just looked. £9 a litre and they do 3 for 2 iirc
And free delivery, can't argue with that

Do you think the quality of the tyre affects how well it comes up?
That's entirely possible but without having multiple tyres from multiple manufacturers I really couldn't say for sure.
Thank you for the video 👍
