Egg! Praying for Julie for God’s comfort and healing. We never know what will have to face in the here and now, but because of him we can face tomorrow. God see’s you Julie and he cares. He knows us all intimately. He knows every hair on our head, and that changes frequently. He calls all the stars by name. I am humbled by how he cares for an imperfect person like myself. He is amazing and more than able to heal you.
Praying for your sweet sister. It must be so hard to see your sibling going through this crisis. May God continue to look over her and give her comfort and peace as she fights the cancer.

I wear more bright colors now than I did in my 20’s. I graduated in 1990 so it was mostly late 80’s fashion. I just saw a video on Instagram about old mall stores and the two stores that I shopped at back then were Lerner’s and 5*7*9. Now I like feminine tops and dresses. Jeans and trousers. In the fall and winter I love skirts and sweaters with boots.

I tend to wear jeans and tshirts most days but I gravitate in the stores to seasonal classy items. Love this post so much! Oh Karen, I have been Praying as you asked, I didn’t know it was for your sister. I absolutely know how you feel and what y’all are going through. My sister had breast cancer and is a survivor. She went through HELL with all the treatments and surgery and more treatments ( her hair was long enough that she could sit on it) she lost her beautiful hair but she still has her life. She just hit the 2 year cancer free mark. Every check up is with such anxiety. We know God is in control, we lost our Mom cancer. Anyway a lil funny story.when my sisters hair started falling out and she shaved it , I was going to shave mine with her and she looked at me and said “ well you’ll be the only bald one because I have 3 beautiful wigs !!!!!we just laughed together and then cried together. Wow long rant. I will continue to Pray for you precious sister. God Bless. Sending love all the way from Alabama, Chrissie ♥️🙏🍳

I am gathering reading these comments that your sister Julie is going through something. I know you asked us all to pray at 7 pm today but didn't know what or who I was praying for. I do hope she comes through this and is healthy soon. Also , your life is one social event. I am so jealous . All my friends have retired and moved out of the area or to other states. But I am 73... so give it another 10 years. Love all your dresses and kudos on your first homegrown pesto! I make french bread slices in the oven with garlic spread and mozzarella ... then top it with the fresh pesto when it comes out of the oven. I also do some with sun dried tomatoes. Yummmmmmmmmmmmm. Both of your moms are so blessed to have you and Mark to treat them so special . Sunday supper club.... what a wonderful tradition.

Hi Karen! When my daughter got married she wanted a candy bar at her reception. I scoured thrift stores for containers. We hung curtains behind it with curtain lights. Used different fabrics with the containers at different levels. It was beautiful! We provided bags for guests to fill one to take home with them as a wedding favor. It was so much fun and we received so many compliments on it.

My style when I was in HS in the 80’s was very trendy, shoulder pads, stirrup pants, ect…and it’s still pretty trendy now( although I do have some classic pieces too 😊.)

I'm 44 and I'd say my style from my twenties until now is still pretty much the same. Skinny jeans with cute tops. But in the evenings or on a day off, it's my oversized hoodie with my comfy joggers! My style has definitely changed from my "gangster" style from my teens in the 90's!

Prayers for healing for your sister - I cannot imagine how difficult this time must be...
Where you live is absolutely gorgeous - I'm originally from Latrobe, PA, but we unfortunately live in San Antonio TX for the time being... We eventually plan to head back up that way since we have family in NJ, DE, VA, and PA... and it just feels like home there to me/us. TX is so very hot and not so very green :(.

I will continue to pray for her and send positive thoughts her way. It sounds like she has been through so much, hopefully she will realize there are so many people wishing her well. to answer your question about what I wore in my twenties Karma it was the Disco era so I had big hair, tons of shiny makeup, shiny clothes and very high heels. Now that I'm 71, I still love clothes and fashion and makeup and hair but I have toned it down a bit and I dress more comfortable now I absolutely loved your shirt. I'm going to England in a few months and I'm going to look for that brand. By the way, I didn't think you had too much blush on. I thought you looked very glowy and very cute. that Bocce game looks so fun!! and I absolutely loved your shirt instead of preppy lets call it classy lol...I am like you I am gonna be covering those grays lol...I think my fashion sense is the same, I like preppy, glam, I love skirts/dresses...I love mules that show off your legs. I wear lots of jewelry, I have 2 hurricanes just like yours, lots of crystal vases and got them all at goodwill for less than 5 bucks, just flick the glass if it rings its crystal also they are super heavy. I’ve always stayed with a classic style clothing. I like the new camera. The colors are brighter and when you’re in the car it’s not backwards…you’re on the driver’s side of the car and the printing on the seat is correct instead of backward.🙏for Julie. It’s after 7:00 p.m. but the Lord hears us whenever.

At the time I said my prayers I didn’t realize Julie was sick. I will continue to pray that she will soon be cancer free and return to good health. Along with Julie I read comments of our other friends that need prayers and they will be included. Prayer is powerful and God hears them. I’m including your sister in my prayers, along with my sis-in-law who was also diagnosed with cancer a few weeks ago. I lost my mom to breast cancer, and several other family members to various cancers.
