- Phil Guerrero (aka PJ Fresh Phil) is talking to Snit about a toy car just before Sailor Moon airs. He gets a little carried away, momentarily forgetting it's a children's show, and makes an inappropriate adult joke.
After he freezes up, note the laughter from the control room, and his co-host's reaction. :)
(Recorded circa 1995, back when YTV had hosted segment shorts between kids shows).
As a kid i thought all these people were so cool. Now i can see they are just normal adults trying to do a job and entertain some kids. Damn. Life is a trip man.

Snit could have covered up the joke or changed the subject but instead made it more obvious by saying "That's not very nice!"
Snit always was hard on him. He sucked as a co-host.

Legit facts though! If I could go back in time, I'd spend WAYYYY more time watching TV. I'd record it all! ALL OF IT! Multiple TVs recording all the great channels!
It's not an adult joke or anything inappropriate at all. When he says "and then you can have the guy doing him right in the front" he is referring to the person off screen who is opening and closing a set of fake teeth in front of a camera. He's saying you can have that guy in the front of the car moving the teeth in the picture frame, which is on the trunk lid. That would give you snit, because snit is a set of moving fake teeth in a television screen.
Phil recognizes his mistake in referencing the guy off screen right away and fumbles a bit.
Yeah, if anything it was Snit making the dirty joke, not Phil.
And these are taped, not live.

These brief Zone cut-aways (aired in the minutes between shows) were broadcast live. You can tell much of the dialog was ad-libbed and very laid back. Here Phil got too laid back, and starting talking to Atul like they were friends off-set. In retrospect it wasn't intended a sexual reference, but it came out SOUNDING like one. Phil immediately realized it, so did the studio crew, and Snitt/Atul made it worse by pointing it out, "What do you mean 'Doing me', that's not very nice". Not sure if it was just good timing or done on purpose, but they cut away just 10 seconds later! I'm sure it went over the heads of most kids at the time, but I cracked up when I saw it live! (I was about Phil's age when I taped it).

I remember this guy as a kid, I was just watching YTV (2015) with my daughter and I noticed that the shows are completely crap now :S. They all look digitally animated, like they didn't even bother to try and make it look slightly oldschool. Anyways, I find old YTV will always be the best.

I remember hearing a (no doubt unfounded) rumour from older kids that a male Zone host was fired for cursing on the air, and that's when they got Carlos. I didn't have cable until we moved into a house where they were stealing it, so I mostly missed the days of Phil.
Your friends were probably pulling your leg: The only other main, male Zone host between Phil and Carlos was Pat Kelly, who co-hosted The Zone from 1999-2001 and there was an extended period after he left the show where it was just Stephanie "Sugar" Beard hosting the segment before Carlos was introduced. While it's possible he left the show due to cursing on-air (I can't find any mention of his reasons for leaving), YTV didn't bring on a new hsot until almost a year after he left.
That really did happen! He mentioned it in an article a few years ago. He was talking about some children's museum live on air and he absent-mindedly said something like "check it out, there'll probably be some really cool shit there". Luckily they only got one complaint and he didn't get in trouble for it lol

There was nothing "adult" about this. The mistake was he gave away the fact that someone in the back was voicing him. Phil wasn't implying any sexual innuendo.

I'm more interested in the beginning of the clip where Snit says something about "cultural content" and Phil instantly turns around, points at the screen and says "What was that? What was that? Did you see- ". Then it jump cuts to Phil showing off the ReBoot car.
Things seemingly got more heated to the point they were trying to throw each under the bus by the time the "guy doing him" line came out, they were both escalating to a point that would get the other fired.
You can see that one of Snit's teeth is missing. I'm guessing it probably fell out at that moment and he was pointing to the empty space.
That was just a few seconds of the previous day's Zone, left behind on my tape. I used to re-use the same VHS tape over and over again each day, so the new recording would abruptly cut into the beginning of the old recording (depended how I queued the tape). I probably should've edited out when I put it up on RUclips years ago, but it's a piece of lost history now, so I'll just leave it as is. :)

there was always a guy off to the side doing Snit's voice in studio and operating the teeth. that's what he meant by "Doing"
