I think that we were dancing about 4 days a week for maybe one and a half to three hours a day. That was right before we pretty much doubled our classes so I'd say that now is a great age for you to start training more! Good luck! :)

@Abbytheballerina, when you audition they will ask u your age and you will write it on your audition form and you will audition with your age group!

@MikRedgate Most year round programs encourage their students to stay for the summer but they don't require it, so when I say "year round" it usually just includes the fall and spring semesters. :)

And i even get late at my current studio which is 3 min away. i kept showing my parents the ballet conservatory and why i should move, but they dont understand. Plus my parents have a very busy lifestyle. And also my dad always complains why i have so many classes i attend, i wish they would just understand. Any suggestions?

@Balletlove282 I'm sure there are very good studios that could accommodate you, but for the most part pre-professional programs are part of and geared towards being in a company. So as far as the major pre-pro programs, they are for 18 or 19 and under, but there are many other studios that have intense programs. Google studios in your area or surrounding area and find the one with the most credentials. I think you will be surprised by the good training that you can find :) Good luck!

As long as it is the training that you feel will get you to the skill level you want to be :)

What pre pro school are you guys in? I really want to get into Harid Conservatory! But I look older then I am so everybody expects me to be really strong en pointe. Which I am not quite yet :/ Any advice? Basically everyone expects my technique and such to be better(Its good for my age 14) but i look like 16 or 18 ha

I'm 15 and go to a British(method of training) ballet school in Japan. I really want to go abroad and study in a ballet school
starting this year( or the next) . I got cast as the main role for my ballet studio recital here in Japan (which is in July this year) I can't really go to any of the summer schools... So I was thinking of doing a video audition. Do you have any advice
what I should do in the video audition and what I can do to stand out in a video audition? Thank you!

Hi! I have a question. My current studio is small and not so great in terms of improving my technique. My privateteacher is recomending i go to a bigger studio and audition for their preprofessional level program. She wants me to move ASAP cuz she knos i have the potential. im deciding to move after recital. right now im taking 1 tech class at new studio so they kno wat im capable of. problem is i dont kno if i would make it in time for they classes, since its 10 min away (continued)

For a dance school audition I have to send in some floor work but also a variation. Any suggestions? (: Pirouttes are my weakest thing so I would love to know some that dont require too much of that. Thank you so much! And btw, youre videos have really inspired me to go for my dreams!

do you have to be a kid-teenager to get into a pre- professional school? it seems like there is none for young adults who are still very serious and want serious training, or for people who started later. Do you know of any because I am an older dancer and very interested still?
