@Diamond Frieza there's no card effect that can stop the egyptian gods they can only be destroyed by battle if you attack them with a stronger monster (by stronger monster i mean a monster who has more attack points than the gods when summoned) But keep in mind immortal phoenix Ra is completely indestructible it cannot be destroyed by battle the player playing it takes no battle damage involving it also it cannot be banished, negated or destroyed by other card effects also if you pay 1k lp you wipe out all of the opponent's monsters (ignoring card effects of you or your opponent) that's why he is the best and the most powerful of the trio
@Diamond Frieza and also you are aware that konami nerfed the cards for the exact purpose beacuse they were to powerful and it took konami 10 fucking years to do something about that AND ALSO all of the egyptian god support in real life is supposed to represent and bring to real life the anime effects of the god cards.All of Ra's support alone is supposed to be 1 card. Konami divided the anime effects of the god cards into multiple cards for them to be an entire archetype and not just 3 cards are you aware on that?
I wonder what it was like the first time Anyone ever saw Ra in the Anime. Like, you were already familiar with Obelisk and Slifer and their shared theme, only to have this tune start playing and it felt like the whole dang planet was being eclipsed or something. This tune is truly unstoppable like the Egyptian God Monster it was made for; Threatening and virtually unstoppable.
The crazy thing is that you knew Ra was coming, you just didn't know when because of all the twists and turns the anime took just for everyone to get to the finals. So when they pulled the ultimate switcheroo by letting Mai be the first one to actually play Ra, only for Marik to steal it right back with that badass chant and this theme roaring in the background, you knew you were watching something special.
Too bad the original just had the same theme for all three gods AND Exodia...AND for whenever a good guy made a cool play... ...I'm rewatching the original and while a lot of the dialogue is way better, the score is awful. There's like 5 songs.

Ngl, this card wasn't a good one for me at first, but when I got it's sphere mode and Phoenix mode as well as graceful tear I used this God a lot at school.

Good news, the deck has gotten really good support in revent times revolving around turboing out the card, it even has a spell that makes Ra immune to everything else as well as being able to wipe the field after attacking, and I think also Tributing monsters that have not attacked to transfer ATK. Ra also got a search spell that lets you give the ATK of tributed monsters to Ra while giving you a second tribute summon, a searcher for Monster Reborn that lets you use it to summon Ra, and a fusion monster counterpart of Metal Reflect Slime with 3000 ATK, mass protection, and the ability to be treated as 3 Tributes for Ra

EPIC card technique for Ra Players: Use as many cards called "The Golden Apples" as possible in your deck. They restore your life points to full whenever you take LP damage, so you'll then have a 4000 attack (3900, to be accurate) Ra, and also full LP, and ALSO The Gold Apples summon a token with attack and defence with the amount of LP you took! EXTRA GOOD!! And even BETTER, using Ra's effect more and then using more Apples will get the dragon up to an INSANE amount of attack! Using three of the Apples, you'd get Ra up to a whooping *_11700_* attack!!!!

This sounds like it’s for the most powerful beast. Irl Obelisk is the best god card but I don’t think this theme fits Obelisk at all. Obelisk’s own theme is sick too and it fits him
Ra is the best, its so good that they had to split up it effects into 3 separate cards, The Winged Dragon of Ra, Sphere Mode, and Immortal Phoenix, all those cards are supposed to be 1 Card.
It's a shame that Ra went from being the strongest Egyptian God in the series, to become the actual worst one in the OCG/TCG. Like, its ATK/DEF isn't the sum of the sacrificed monsters (so you have to handicap your LPs to make it a beat-stick), it can't be Special Summoned (without Sphere Mode/Millennium Revelation), and it lacks any kind of protection to effects.
Just because you like Obelisk this dosent mean he is the best, when it comes to cheap effect Slifer actually is since he gets rid of every Monster you summon less than 2000ATK, Ra needs to handicap your lire point and Obelisk needs 2 sacrifice. Slifer has the most OP effect

EPIC card technique for Ra Players: Use as many cards called "The Golden Apples" as possible in your deck. They restore your life points to full whenever you take LP damage, so you'll then have a 4000 attack (3900, to be accurate) Ra, and also full LP, and ALSO The Gold Apples summon a token with attack and defence with the amount of LP you took! EXTRA GOOD!! And even BETTER, using Ra's effect more and then using more Apples will get the dragon up to an INSANE amount of attack! Using three of the Apples, you'd get Ra up to a whooping *_11700_* attack!!!!

Ra is actually playable when you use its anime version of the effect text but pretty fucking broken if you ask me can one shot anything turn 1 without having to worry about shit hence why its called the most powerful in anime lol

I think the best theme ever out of the three Egyptian god cards is that of Obelisk's.

This sounds like it’s for the most powerful beast. Irl Obelisk is the best god card but I don’t think this theme fits Obelisk at all. Obelisk’s own theme is sick too and it fits him
Ra is the best, its so good that they had to split up it effects into 3 separate cards, The Winged Dragon of Ra, Sphere Mode, and Immortal Phoenix, all those cards are supposed to be 1 Card.
It's a shame that Ra went from being the strongest Egyptian God in the series, to become the actual worst one in the OCG/TCG. Like, its ATK/DEF isn't the sum of the sacrificed monsters (so you have to handicap your LPs to make it a beat-stick), it can't be Special Summoned (without Sphere Mode/Millennium Revelation), and it lacks any kind of protection to effects.
Just because you like Obelisk this dosent mean he is the best, when it comes to cheap effect Slifer actually is since he gets rid of every Monster you summon less than 2000ATK, Ra needs to handicap your lire point and Obelisk needs 2 sacrifice. Slifer has the most OP effect

Should be best cards in Yu-Gi-Oh better than Exodia but Konami ruined Rá along with Slider and Oblesik.
Funny thing is, Obelisk was hardly touched, since they removed two effects only - the infinite ATK effect, and the destruction protection, while everything else was effectively the same.
