You're walking sunlight in this video and you actually managed to go to places that weren't shut for a change 🤣 Lovely positive energy feel/vibe to the video, congrats 😃
Thank you! :) Plants really bring me a lot of joy. I think I am so expressive that every emotion I feel shows haha. This is truly my favourite way to spend a day! :D
What a great video! It was so lovely to meet you at the swap. The office plant is a marble queen. Hope they're doing well in the office space. The food you had looked amazing. X
Oh thank you so much! I will make a note of that. They are doing sooo well in the office. They're growing lovely strong roots, and enjoying being in such a bright space. I check up on them as soon as I arrive for my shift. It was so lovely to meet you too! Ooooft I loved all the food I had that day. So incredibly delicious.
You are such a joy to watch! Yes please do share your views on plants and mental health, sounds intriguing. Also what office job do you have if you don't mind me asking? ❤
Thank you so much, you're very kind :) I work in retail and when I would go up to the office to do admin bits, there were no plants! It looked very bare. Well I've taken some of my new plants across now and it looks much better :D Well I could probably make a veeeery long video on my thoughts about mental health and plants, but just a little introduction to my thoughts (thank you so much for asking by the way), I had a cat, that I loved so much. He was a very affectionate and loving little cat. But he was also a plant nibbler, so I could never have houseplants. He recently had to be put down, and this broke my heart, as my little pal who was like a shadow was gone. But after a few weeks, I thought I would get a plant. And then another. And another, until I learnt that I had found something that I really enjoyed! The reason I mention my cat, is that from what I have heard, often from dark times, people find the joy of looking after and nurturing houseplants. I certainly found this. I love the purpose it gives me to tend to them, and water them, and keep them happy. I love the sense of achievement that it gives me when I see new growth, and even just having them around makes me generally very happy. Looking at them and tending to them gets me in a state of flow. And therefore I think that having plants and caring for them is excellent for mental health, and those times where everything seems so dark, and heavy. I would love to know if you have any thoughts on this at all? :) Thank you so much for your comment!
@@rhi-defined Aww I'm so sorry to hear about your kitty 😟 I have a cocker spaniel who will be turning 13 on the 28th and I completely empathise with how much room they occupy in your heart and the impact of their loss 🤗 Yes I can absolutely see how caring for plants could be very therapeutic for the mind and soul. It's lovely to bring the beauty of nature into our homes isn't it? I have the grand total of 2 plants in my little flat and I dont have my own garden to tend to currently so maybe it's high time I adopted some more plants to nurture and enjoy 😊 Thank you for replying with such a lovely message and for sharing your thoughts. I do love your videos and content! They are proving to be a perfect escape from the harshness of this crazy world and I enjoy sharing in your travels! 💓
Oh gosh, don't they just fill such a huge space in your heart. I still have my little girl cat who has changed completely since my male cat passed away, and I just watch her in awe. They're just so precious aren't they. Part of the family. Oh so therapeutic! I find that after a stressful day, looking at my plant growth and progress takes my mind of everything. Awww I would definitely consider adopting a few more! But it's very easy to get hooked 😅 what plants do you have currently? It sounds like you'd be great at taking care of a little inside jungle 😁 and thank you ever so much. I'm so glad that you enjoy my videos. It makes my day to hear that 😊
@@rhi-defined Well I think you've convinced me that I need more greenery in my life 🌵☘️ 🌹🌺😁 I have no idea what my two plants are! One I picked up from a charity shop. It was a little cutting but has outgrown it's little pot now and needs a new home! I think it had "angel" in its name if I remember correctly. The other is a twisted hard green cactus-like plant from B & M 😆 I know your channel is all about days out/travel etc but if ever you feel called to do a video on all your plants and how you care for them etc I'd love to watch it! Aww does your cat miss her little friend? Would you consider having more? I keep telling myself NO MORE PETS after I lose my dog but I know I'll want more. She has been my little shadow for 13 years now and it will be like losing a limb! She even sleeps in my bed and my whole day revolves around her. I've only had 2 cats but it was very short lived. One was a stray kitten that found her way to my door but disappeared within a matter of weeks. I don't think she was well as she was sneezing a lot poor thing. I also homed a feral cat but as I was out at work all day It was hard to socialise her so I rehomed her and she went to a young couple who worked opposite shifts so there would always be someone with her. I hope your little lady is doing well and doesn't miss her friend too much ❤️
Oh that is so lovely that you got it from the charity shop and have looked after it so well that it's now ready to be re-potted! Oh interesting, I don't know a plant with angel in the title, but it sounds like you've done a really good job with it. Oh, I love twisted cacti. I really want to get into cacti and succulents. It's something I'm going to do a lot more reading up on soon. The plant video idea is a very tempting one. My husband keeps telling me to do one because I am just so enthusiastic about them all, and he thinks it would be lovely to share that with people, and potentially even inspire someone. She did miss my other cat to begin with, but I think she has adapted really well now to being the only cat. I would consider having another cat again if Sky passed away, but I am enjoying just having her for the time being. My husband said he couldn't have any more pets though, too painful to say goodbye. Oh I love that. My cat sleeps next to me too! Little pets are just so special to have aren't they. Awww that's so sweet about rehoming a feral cat to someone who can be there to help them get used to the environment. Animals just need love and time don't they. And they're all so different. I love how much love they make us feel. I'm so sorry to hear that about the little kitten though! Aww thank you for your kind words :)
