Hugs from across the pond! What a wonderful chit chat today. I just want to encourage you keep doing what you do. It brings a great deal of joy to many of us who are able to see you for who you are and know that everything you say and do is from the heart and many years of experience. I know I don't have to say it, but I will. YOU JUST CAN'T PLEASE EVERYONE! God Bless!
I love your pantry chit chat. I am Ukrainian/Polish. The bread you were talking about is called Babka. This is a Ukrainian bread that is made especially for Easter. A slice of the bread goes in a wicker basket and lined with a linen napkin with a slice of ham and smoked sausage, butter that spaced like a lamb, easter eggs, horseradish. We take the basket to church to have the basket blessed. Blessing of the Baskets. Also there is another bread called Placek. It is a Polish sweet bread I have been making for years also. It is sooo good with coffee! I will email you the recipe. Yes, please make some low carb recipes that would be great! I will definitely do the seed exchange. Don't be sorry for leaving your feelings on your sleeve. Your mom was a beautiful person just like you. She is always around you and your family. God Bless you...
Every time I listen to you I feel I am home with my family, all which are now passed except for one sister in the Upper Peninsula. Bless all that you do.
Renea you are such a beautiful soul. I have to say that’s what my grandma made pork loin stuffed with stovetop and then smothered with mushroom cream soup. It was to die for. We had it a lot for Christmas. Yum! To mourn a loved one that has passed is the price for the love they gave us❤ praying for you as you heal from your loss🙏🏼
Renea, let the grief come. Like I’ve said before I lost my husband April 3, 2022 just before you lost your Momma. This grief is the deepest grief I’ve felt. I’ve learned through bereavement group to let the grief come, recognize it and then the calm comes over me and that’s the journey of mourning. I never know when a wave of grief is going to hit me. When your tears came so did mine. I’m alone now and I totally enjoy your chit chats. Like your right here with me, being a friend to me. Thank you sweet lady your the best. 🧑🍳💜
Omgoodness, I love your videos 😁 A big old hug for that precious tear 🌷 Please show us the potato flake bread. That will be helpful in a prepper pantry. 🤍💐
I know exactly how you are feeling about missing your mom, I am 75 years old and I lost my sweet mom back in 2004, but not a day goes by that I don’t still wish I could pick up that phone and ask her a question or just hear her voice. It does get better Renae and all of those precious grandchildren help fill your broken heart just like mine did. I am a pretty new subscriber and I didn’t know you had just lost your mom…i am so sorry…I only wish I could somehow send you a hug . Please know how much joy you have brought me watching your videos, thank you for just being you 💖💖💖
Aww it's a tough one Renea , lots of memories in that home for you , but isn't it wonderful that you have the opportunity to let some other family start their journey of making wonderful memories in it too . ❤ big hugs to you 🤗 from me in cold Scotland 🏴 gosh I need some heat in my bones , I'm so ready for spring and summer . Love your coffee and chats 💕 your grand babies are so lucky having you . What a wonderful mother and grandmother you are 💞 Congratulations on finishing h the book 📖 👌 ANY breads 🍞 any at all, I love watching you doing breads you make it look so easy 😀
I love Stove Top Stuffing, too. Watched your friend’s channel also this morning. I wish I had a Kitchenaid mixer but I’m 77 and I’ve lived without one all these years.
Renee don't let people get to you cause some of them ware there feeling on their sleeves and I want to make sure I do the right things to keep my family safe and that's why I listen to you cause to me you are not going to tell us nothing wrong to me you are the best and a amazing person and I just love watching you in the kitchen thanks for everything I just love you so much you are just wonderful and don't let no one ever get to you cause you do nothing wrong just keep doing what you do love you my friend
I take my pork loins and stuff them with dried apricots snd coat them in Dijon mustard and use either seasoned panko crumbs or crushed pork rinds. I cannot filet anything. My knife skills are awful. So to get around that I just take my knife and stick it in one end and wiggle it around flip it over and do the other end then just stick my fingers in and widen the cut. The. Shove my apricots in until I can't stuff in anymore. But I am looking forward to your video on the pirk loin.
I do proofreading for several Christian authors and believe me Renae, it is all but impossible to publish with no mistakes! We weren't made to be perfect. I truly love seeing another small town Michigander who I have so much in common with. I would like to have had some of your equipment when I was younger. Things like freeze drying would have been so nice to do. Thanks for sharing so much of your life & congratulations on your new cookbook!
Larkspur are beautiful flowers. I think both of the ones I like are more plants than flowers. I love Lilacs and the bleeding heart. I love the smell of lilacs. And I love the look of the bleeding heart. Not that I don't like any others but those are my favorites. I know how you feel about the house. I still 4 years later miss my dad so much and miss the house he built and miss my mom too. She passed 20+ years before my dad. I still want to pick up the phone and call her. All these years later.... dad too....
Hello, I’m new to your Chanel I live in the UK, just wanted to say you’re a natural in front of the camera & I just love watching you cook! Love the ‘chit chat’ too. I’ve tried your breakfast burritos, fresh & frozen, really enjoyed them, watched you bake bread today & just had to bake some myself…keep going, your more entertaining than mainstream tv!
Thanks for the Raw emotion. I remember sitting in bare wood floor living room on a folding chair, my voice echoing in living room where Dad and I hung out and watched the NEWS together! 48 years before I had to drive up north to make the move to live @ family cabin 3 hrs north. Into the great unknown! Suburban folk don't know how easy they have it! $$$ That's brave to let it go!
Luv your Chit-Chats!! ❤ To ERR is human 😊 My chickens feed from the wild bird feeder when they are let out. It’s so cold here, that they get warm oatmeal in the morning and a few warm baked potatoes before they go to bed. I love my chickens - they are barred rock and lemon cuckoo neiderhiemer (German breed). We have hawks and owls, and I just don’t worry ‘bout them being caught- it’s the way of nature. Hey Mr. Wayna!! Big hugs Renea!
What an absolute joy you are! I love your channel and feel as if I am in your kitchen with you. You seem to have such a kind and sweet spirit about you. I have learned from watching you cook and am looking forward to getting your cook books! Beth 😊
I understand on the house . It’s kinda of the final chapter. You have to understand and say to yourself I did the best I could when she was alive and that is what matters. If you were there for her and did all you could do then no regrets. You are already doing a tribute to your mom fixing it up with love and selling it to someone that can make family memories and that is a honor and respect to your mother. I really enjoy your videos. It’s just like sitting in a chair next to you sipping coffee. Keep doing what your doing. Always a pleasure. I am of German decent. I don’t know much about German food she lived in Washington state and I live in KY so when I was younger we visited every two years. Her name was Olga so any German Cuisine you would like to give I know I would enjoy it.
Love your channel, cooking and chit chats. I’ve been watching you since those grand babies were just little girls! They sure have grown up 😊. Keep those recipes coming because your friends out here in RUclips land love you ❤️
Thank you so much for the chitchat! I always enjoy them so much! I shed some tears right along with you concerning the house. I tried being a landlord after my mother passed. I, too, am a softie and the tenants had every sad story in the book. I had to evict them and it was *horrible*! Had to take them to court and everything. NEVER again. It is good you recognize beforehand that it isn't for you. HUGS and blessings to you ❤️
I can’t wait to see your rye bread! I’m pretty good now with white and whole wheat, next up is rye. I am a “rebel” canner to a degree, we believe that whoever kitchen it is… it’s their rules. You do YOU, we love you for it or we wouldn’t watch. Take care! (I too love stove top stuffing, use it in my meatloaves doctored up. Stove Top never fails! Lol)
I absolutely love your chit chats, I swear we would be best of friends if we knew each other. I have to say how much I feel your sadness about your mom. Both my parents passed when I was 16 (39 years ago), and there isn't a day that I don't think about them and also cry. My brother just passed not long ago, and I can't get through a day without crying for him. You are so sweet, and your caring just exudes out of you. Keep being you and know that I truly love your channel and thank you for all you give. ❤️
I mixed left over chick starter, meat bird feed, scratch, and cracked corn into a bucket feeder back in August to help with molting. I'll feed that all winter and stop in the spring. We get eggs every day!
I love watching your videos. You are such a sweet sincere lady. Don't feel bad about the tears.! My Mother passed away 7 years ago and I still miss her.
Hi Renee! Looking forward to the bok choy soup! I really enjoy watching your videos...I lost my husband recently and watching these videos really help keep my mind occupied. I thank you for that...❤
Hi Renea L am a new subscriber from florida. My Dad was from Michigan born and raised I was in Mi from age 3 to 14 we lived on a farm in Lapeer County, little town called Clifford. I loved the farm we had dairy cows, chickens. Hugh garden and fields of corn and grain. I miss it so much. Love your videos
Hi Renae, I’m new to your channel and I just love your content. I’m a Michigander too. Southeast Michigan and Northern Michigan in the summer and fall. You are such a natural on camera. You speak my language. Carol
So I made your big batch sheet pan brownies today for my birthday, instead of a cake. My kids and grandchildren all came over, and your brownies were a hit!! Best tasting brownies ever,!
Zwetschgenknoedel, German plum dumplings. They are so good! Never have made them, I lived in Germany for several years while in the military which is why I’ve had them. I’d love to see them made, they’ve always intimidated me, but I’m not the baker you are by any means-you’d most likely whip up those things with no trouble whatsoever. 😊
I have been sitting here doing some cross stitch while listening to your chat, which I enjoyed so much! At the end, you asked if we want low carb. I definitely do because of my diabetes. Thank you so much. Have fun with your grandbabies!!
Renea, Congratulations on your new cookbook. I am a new subscriber and enjoy your videos so much. I am so sorry to hear of your Mothers passing. She was so blessed to have you.
I have to tell you how nice it is to watch your videos you aren’t trying to scare people with the hard times we are are going through you are helping first one then the other good for you If you don’t have a freeze dryer what can you do
Hi Renea! I enjoy your channel very much! You remind me of my Michigan family… you would have got on so well w my momma! It’s so hard to lose Mom, I miss her every day too. I understand your heartbreak. Hugs! Her family was from Alpena areA. Anyway, my dads side was Czech and that grandma made plum dumplings and peach dumplings and we would put melted butter and cinnamon sugar and it was dinner!!! Yum! If you’re interested I have her recipe I can share. Thanks for all your videos. ❤️
Hi Renae, hope I spelled your name correctly! Really enjoy watching your videos. I don’t have a channel but been thinking about it just so my family can watch especially after I am gone. Might be a little late since I am almost 72 but like you I live to cook! Anyways, keep up your joy I enjoy watching.
Hi Bobbi you should just do it! your family will be blessed and enjoy your videos plus many younger people can learn from you to. Another channel I enjoy is Deep south with Mr Tom has that type channel with his childhood type dinners and chats.
Thanks Sue, I appreciate your encouragement but as I get older I just don’t seem to have the energy or time I once had, I still try to garden every year, take care of my hubby, do the normal stuff everyone had to do so videoing, then editing, etc etc just seems so overwhelming I just hesitate to even start, but I keep thinking about it! Ha. Your very sweet to respond so thank you again.
Hi Renea. I want to give you a big hug. My Mother has been gone going on 6 years (Daddy has been gone for much longer) and we just recently sold their house (the house my Daddy built) last year. It was an emotionally draining effort but had to be done. It sold right away and I tell you friend, it hit me like a ton of bricks and I grieved the loss of my parent's house (and my Mom and Dad) that they loved so dearly and raised their family. It was filled with so much love and memories! I gained comfort knowing a young family bought the house and will fill it with love and laughter. My Mom and Dad would be pleased! Again big hugs to you--I know.
Good morning Renea, I watch your channel everyday. New and old videos you are such an amazing woman, you have just about have done it all. I'm learning so much from you. With love from southwestern Pennsylvania ❤
I know exactly what your saying about being kind hearted because I have been burned many times myself because of this. It is truely crazy how people take advantage of other peoples kind natures. I wish I lived closer to you to be able to experience your fresh stand. I love watching your channel and found it purly by accident and I havent been able to stop watching. I truely enjoy all of your content and the chit chats are my favorite things. I love listening to you talk about your birds and you plans for meals your gonna make. Everything you make looks fantastic and Im excited that you have a cookbook. I made one myself for the family one year when I didnt have enough money for presents and it ended up costing more in the long run because it was all passed down family recioies and when extended family found out what I was doing they requested them as well.
Hi Renee, I completely understand when you get chocked up about your mom . I lost my mom about a month ago. Sometimes it just hits you out of the blue. When you talked about calling your mom that hit me. I reach for the phone all the time. Just yesterday was one of those days. I am really glad I found your channel. The way you talk to the camera I feel like I'm sitting in your kitchen with you. I like your recipes they are good home cooking. Keep up the video's they are great.
I would love to have your cook books! I love your videos. They make my day. This is my favorite channel! I’ve learned so much about how to put my groceries to good use- to make them last longer and stretch further. Thank you for opening my eyes to freezer meals and educating me on so much more. I love to cook. I love to drink bowls of coffee too. Love your heart also. I lost my mom 9 years ago to Alzheimer’s- this march 21-my heart understands you missing your mom. She was my best friend, my everything. Thoughts with you.❤
I'm so sorry you're having a hard time today. You reminded me of my grandma (mawmaw) ,she would call me on Friday and ask what time I would be there &what did I want her to cook . She taught me how to cook, can, garden, everything.. miss her so much, someday are harder,I understand the thought on wanting to pick up the phone and call her but can't.
Doing an index almost completely breaks my soul and will to live every time I have to do one (thankfully not often). I need to get your books, I love collecting cookbooks and especially ones written by people like you-you cook food I like with ingredients I can actually find and afford. None of the pretentious stuff sourced from a unicorns left leg on the second waxing moon of the year, just great, honest, and homemade food. That’s my heart food. 😊
Renee . Yes indeed it is rough losing a loved one. And it takes time to grieve. I lost my dad several years ago. He and I were big into horses. I had a beautiful gray Arabian gelding and he would come to the barn most every day and feed him carrots. It was our thing. I sure do miss my dad. And my mom is now in her upper 80's and I am fearful of the day I will lose her. I know it will come one day and I don't think I can prepare my heart. I take every chance I can to be with her to make those memories... as do my sisters. It is very hard. I have also taken to doing things for my son and daughter concerning myself so they will have memories of me for when my time comes. I am making a family cookbook of all our favorite family meals. I am putting together photo albums and journaling family memories. This all takes time, but I want to do this for my children. It is said it is the circle of life, and it is. But it is also hard when that time comes. Cherish the memories of your lovely mom. Getting to know you through videos and the sweet lady you seem to be .. I bet your mamma was also a sweet and giving lady. Blessings to you.
I’ll do the seed exchange w/ you! I’ve participated in several. I think a good tip is; Remember not to swap seeds from hybrid plants we grow. The seeds may not produce same plant, but rather one of the parent plants. How I know, someone sent me Sungold cherry tomato seeds last year. That’s supposed to be the best hybrid cherry tomato, super tasty. Uh, mine were prolific & tasteless. So, they sent me the seeds from their plants . This yr., I ordered the Sungold seeds from 2 sources. 🍅
Virtual hugs, my friend, huge Virtual hugs. I lost my sweet mom 20 years ago, she was only 67 and I think of her everyday with a heart felt smile and a few tears at times.
Oh my gosh, I would love to learn some low carb freezer or canning meals. You're recipes are always awesome. Would love to see the recipe for the high protien multigrain bread as well. Thanks Renae
Great chat. I would love to join a seed swap. Something else to consider is Mulberry starts. They cost a fortune, and you must have a cold hardy tree which is what I need for Colorado. Maybe do a drawing? Congrats on your third book. So impressed with what you do. I am always look forward to it. You go Boo, your amazing.
Hi Renea! I love your chit chats. I would love to see you do freeze dried milk. I made your rolls for a luncheon and they were a big hit. They said they were sinful. Thanks for always being you. ❤❤
At living traditions, Kevin said it was the fumes from the ventless heater. We have one in our family room and it does have a smell after a while but it is old.
I love your chi chats. I listen while getting ready for work ,or on blue tooth as I take my hour long commute to work. You are a neighbor who stops over for coffee!😊
Hey Ren-nae-nae! I’m enjoying the chat❤. Today I am trying two new things: making homemade dog food and trying to dehydrate some apples. By the way, I am so glad I watched your video about the chickens. We used to have chickens and they stopped laying. Guess what? We were buying feed from tractor supply. We finally gave up a few years ago. We are going to try again and now I know I will have to find good feed for them. Thank you and have a great day!❤️❤️❤️
I love your bowl of coffee. I have a mega cup myself so I can relate. I love your channel so much. You actually made it easier for me to make bread. I was intimidated watching other channels until I found yours. Now I feel like I can do this without a bread machine and as soon as I have some time off, that's the first thing I'm gonna do and I can't wait to tell you all about it. 😁
Yeah, I'd like to see the Milk freeze dried, or potatoes. They have these small pearls at work, for mashed potatoes. It's fascinating. I think I understand how it works but if you made a video on maintenance, (oil changes? LOL) that would be cool.
Awe Renae you made me tear up, thank you so much for the shout out, like I said yesterday somethings just belong to certain people and that belonged to you. I am so glad for our friendship love that your so real, I think that the only way is for us to be real. I love your channel and you. Girl your the queen of cooking. Again thank you so much and enjoy your gifts. Your amazing girl.
I bought a new store. I switched it from natural gas to propane. Has a full-size oven, and it's a 5 burner with a cast iron top to set pots and pans on it. I have canned so much stuff on it. Less than $1000. It's a Frigidaire. Have fun shopping.❤️🇺🇲
I know how you feel about your mom's house We sold our family home, and I went down to meet the people and ended up crying on their shoulder. I was so thankful that they understood
You are such a sweet person. I just love you. My mom and dad are in their late seventies and I can't even imagine how it feels to lose your momma. Sending prayers and love your way.🥰. I made meatloaf using stovetop stuffing which I've never tried before and I put sweet onion jam in there and oh my stars was it good. Meatloaf sandwiches tomorrow 😋. Could you do a freezer meal for salisbury steak? Are your beans mushy or do they fall apart the way you can beans? I would love low carb.
Thank you so much, Renee. I should know how to do an overnight soak, but I don't. Do I bring them to a boil, turn the heat off, and let them sit covered overnight? 🤔
I love watching your videos and I wish you could hear me because I talk back to you lol. I love to talk also haha. I made bread for my first time a couple days ago and it was not perfect but editable. I don't know what went wrong but I'm going try again! Oh please don't ever apologize for your tears of heartache. Missing your mom is very hard and I for one would have given you a hug! Have a blessed day 💖
Oh sweetie, I’m sorry you had to redo the page numbers. If you ever write another, if you have to add pages, do what others do, use Roman numerals on the pages you have to add later unless they are part of the main body of the book. Most books do this because they will have commentary from others and it is just easier to give these sections the Roman numerals.
Oh Renea, don’t apologize for any tears over your parents. So many precious memories in that house, it will be hard to sell. You know what needs to be done and I’m sure your parents would approve. Enjoyed the chit chat. Have a blessed evening!
Never apologize for emotions. My Mother passed in 2006. I still miss her every day. Love the coffee chats and all your chats. Keep up the good work!!!
Hugs from across the pond! What a wonderful chit chat today. I just want to encourage you keep doing what you do.
Carol
Omg Renea you had me tearing up on this one when you got emotional. Understandable! That house will bless another! 😢😊
I loved your Chit Chat today. You filled me with love and caring. You are a strong lovely woman and I'm sure the future will work out. God Bless You
I have been sitting here doing some cross stitch while listening to your chat, which I enjoyed so much!
What a neat way to store your seeds!
Congratulations on the completion of your new recipe book!
I have to tell you how nice it is to watch your videos you aren’t trying to scare people with the hard times we are are going through you are helping first one then the other good for you
If you don’t have a freeze dryer what can you do
Your the sweetest person, I wish I was your neighbor. I would be so happy..💗
Yes yes yes to live!
Hi friend! I love hanging out with you. Your recipes and advise are priceless and so are you!
That turquoise shirt is a beautiful color on you!
I sure do need to get all your cookbooks,I didn’t realize you had made cookbooks.how exciting ‼️‼️🙏🌺🌺🌸🌸
May God continue to bless and keep you always! KY, USA
Hi Ms. Renea! I had to work today, so just getting to watch your video tonight. I'm excited about your new cookbook! Can't wait...God Bless!🥰
It's been two years and I so feel your pain. I miss my Mama so much every day. I am the youngest and my Mama was my best friend.
I am so sorry for your loss and yes I know all too well the heartache we have.
Congratulations for finishing your cookbook!
I definitely would love to buy your cookbook! You have great meals!
I think a good tip is;
Remember not to swap seeds from hybrid plants we grow.
That sounds good. You should put a note in the seed box when it gets to you about that so others will be aware.
I cannot wait to buy your cookbook!!!! God bless you!!!!!
Love your pantry chats.
Virtual hugs, my friend, huge Virtual hugs. I lost my sweet mom 20 years ago, she was only 67 and I think of her everyday with a heart felt smile and a few tears at times.
Good morning friend from Apple Valley So. California, Congrats on the cook book.
FYI ALERT===== JUST LETTING YOU KNOW YOU GOT A TROLL ASKING FOR MONEY AND TO JOIN A MONEY MAKING OFFER
I have 2 huge Mulberry trees in my yard. If you want starts I will mail you some. We will propagate some for you.
Hi Renea! I love your chit chats. I would love to see you do freeze dried milk. I made your rolls for a luncheon and they were a big hit. They said they were sinful. Thanks for always being you. ❤❤
Yes to low carb freezer meals please
At living traditions, Kevin said it was the fumes from the ventless heater. We have one in our family room and it does have a smell after a while but it is old.
A seed exchange would be fun!
Thank you and have a great day!❤️❤️❤️
I would love to learn some recipes for homemade dog food 🐶.
@@donnad57 there are many on RUclips. Some are tutorials by veterinarians.
Hugs to you Renea don't apologize. It's so hard to say goodbye. You have many memories of your Mom and her home. Thanks for all you do. Janie : )
Hello Renea. Enjoyed the the chat. Congrats on the cookbook. Have a great weekend. God Bless❤
Mmm mmm! I'll literally add mushrooms to anything savory. Love them!!! And pepper 😉
I Have an oilless pump so there is really no maintenance. I will show you on a video.
Godiva has factories in Brussels, in Reading, Pennsylvania, and in Turkey.
Oh darling lady, sending you lots of love always. xx
Baby season here! So nice to have fresh, raw milk and eggs again.
Bless you Renea. We appreciate you and all you share with us.
Oh Renae, I UNDERSTAND. My Mom was my ONLY friend. I know your pain. 🥰 Hugs from Missouri🥰
Yes I can do a freezer meal for salsbury steak and no my beans are not mushy.
Thank you so much, Renee. I should know how to do an overnight soak, but I don't. Do I bring them to a boil, turn the heat off, and let them sit covered overnight? 🤔
Their are no words for how giving you are👍🏻🥰🇨🇦
Ahhhhhhhh I feel your pain Renee, those walls hold so many memories that will always stay in your heart.❤❤❤
Have a blessed day 💖
Awe so much love for you. ❤❤❤
Hugs from Kansas.
Lots of love to you...friend indeed! Lawdy you are the definitive " home" and home is where the heart is💕
Oh sweetie, I’m sorry you had to redo the page numbers. If you ever write another, if you have to add pages, do what others do, use Roman numerals on the pages you have to add later unless they are part of the main body of the book. Most books do this because they will have commentary from others and it is just easier to give these sections the Roman numerals.
wonderful Idea.
Oh Renea, don’t apologize for any tears over your parents. So many precious memories in that house, it will be hard to sell. You know what needs to be done and I’m sure your parents would approve. Enjoyed the chit chat. Have a blessed evening!
Good morning from Yonkers,N.Y I love all your stories, blessing to you and family❤️🙏❤️
Sending you a HUGE HUG!
