Playing this for the first time after 10 years of the game being out and wondering why I have to play the whole thing again to get balloons. Why can’t there just be a free roam in the area like the main story has

Exactly my thought, You can't even go to certain areas of the map to even get the balloons i.e Harley Quinn's Revenge map SMH
If you are missing just one single balloon, there is a good chance it is #23, as it is immediately before a tricky encounter. If you pop the balloon but die during the encounter, the balloon will not be registered. If you want to be very sure, check this particular balloon after finishing that fight.
I was just doing this cause I finally got round to 100% completing the return to arkham games and this comment really helped. I popped the balloon in the Harley quinn boss fight them died and didn't realise it didn't save. Thank you.

You can go back and collect it as Robin so you don't have to play the story all over again.
I really like how everytime you pop a balloon, you make the character turn round as if he's sayin 'fuck yeah..' Btw, got 29/30. Gotta do this shit again..

Same here. I wish I checked to see if they were missable or not. I only completed the first part realized I didn’t pop any balloons and figured I’d have another chance so finished the dlc 😂

Trophies like this need to stop being made. There is no skill in finding these. Its just plain luck. A location hint would be nice or something! But just throwing you in the middle or the nowhere and telling u to find things randomly scattered throughout the place is just dumb and time consuming. If ir not lucky, u can literally be lookong for these things for years

@@Adrien1903 you’re not meant to 100% the korok seeds. they placed over twice what you need so that you could reasonably max your inventory just by finding korok seeds along the way

Yea, i just finished with maybe 20 balloons. But i did all the combat trophies atleast so next time i force myself to play through this, i can play how i want. Is it true the trophies carry over to a new game?

what I find quite annoying that you if you destroy a balloon and die in the same saving area the balloon will be ignored. that´s why I´m at 28/30 balloons although I have been visiting every balloon location shown.
Alright, just followed this video from beginning to end on my 2nd playthrough and did exactly as the video directed me. HOW THE HELL DO I ONLY HAVE 27 BALLOONS!?

Not only do you have a video showing how to get the ballons, but you also list which areas they are located in, PLUS with each bit you have the info in the corner (I.E.Harley Balloon #9 - Industrial District) THANK YOU x900,000! Thank you. #25 was the last one that I was missing. I had to get it diffusing the 3 bombs at the end. #30 was my penultimate balloon. JIC anyone happens to be missing only 2 balloons, very well could be the same two.

#3 almost got me as well. you have to look to the right and it's there.
Yes you search the roofs and then the floors and everything in between. If you're not LUCKY you can still miss the same balloon(s) over and over. What processof elimination are you going to use when ur missing only 2 in the entire map, and there are NO CLUES to at least point u in the right direction? Its the very definition of finding a needle in a haystack

yeah it could be about nightwing being batman after bat's dies (either the infinate crisis comic way or a unique rocksteady way). Then after they make a game of the year for that, there can be a battle for the cowl storyline prequel dlc for it.

I just had the most comical thing happen to me. I was at 29/30 balloons and playing through this dlc one more time to get the last one. And I was at the part right before balloon #24 where I was playing as Batman. I was clearing the room, and ACCIDENTALLY fell in the corner, landing on #25. And POP!. Trophy unlocked. Oh, if they were all just that easy.
#25 balloon is the one that got me, honestly so stupid that the balloons don’t show up anywhere on the map or in your detective vision

theres a picture she drew on the wall in jokers shrine that says something like "joker will return" but not so obvious. And she drew him getting out of a coffin, but it probably doesn't mean anything because she's nuts.
if you download harley quinns revenge and listen to one of the radios while playing as robin vickey vale asks gordon if he can tell us where the jokers body is. i think that and the posters of cadmus labs around the steel mill near every joker manikin suggests that the body has been stolen be someone.... the question is who?
