I don't have the Family and other users link in my accounts area... Any ideas on how I can change my local account to a administrator account with out having to reinstall windows 10?

My issue is that I can't instal anything because I'm not admin and can't change it to admin as is not showing any setting to account like it doesn't exist, but still i can sign in with it? for reference I'm talking about personal computer not work one.

If you get denid than right click on you name change user to admistrator (it was there even though I didn’t created it) and than go to control panel, manege account and change your main user account to admin again.
Aurelie Nana I found out a solution. Make sure that you have backed up your computer or any important files because you will be resetting your computer. Once you have backed up your computer press on the windows icon and do shift + restart. When a blue screen with 3 options come up press troubleshot, then do advanced options. Lastly do restart this computer and get rid of all your files. Then your computer will be a new computer and you will be the admin on it.

My Local User account crashed and I couldn't get into it. So I deleted that user. And all I have left is a admin account and I can't do many things. And for me to change my powers it says I need a local account, but I can't make one.
guys dont make the same mistakes other did the reason why u dont have family and otehrs is because ur account is not a local administrator log in on one of ur family members accounts that is administrator and then it will show family and others and then u can change ur account to an administrator.

i did manage to add new user and change them to admin. The problem started when I added another email account in mail. For some reason it used that info and made it my administrator role, eliminating the one I had as administrator. I now have added the new user and changed it to admin, but don't know how to change the other admin, or eliminate it altogether

+JackaBooma not that I know of you could try using a usb drive to back it up but I don't think that would work. I am not great with computers lol.

These tutorials are only good for a few months if that. They have a very short shelf life due to the fact that windows is always being undated.
