Best Focal Length for Vlogging

- Hey everyone! In this video I look at the difference between focal lengths for vlogging. I'm using the Sony 10-18mm APSC and the Sigma 24-70mm full frame lenses for this comparison. The 10-18mm is a 15-27mm focal length equivalent with the 1.5 Sony crop so it makes for a good stand in for a 16-35mm full frame lens.
Let me know your opinion in the comments! What are you shooting on?
Thanks!
Very helpful. Seeing the different lenses in different settings is exactly what I needed. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching.
that 10-18mm lens in Full Frame mode at 15mm is PERFECTION. No vignette, optical stabilization, light and small.
which full frame camera do you use? great video!
Thanks! I use the Sony A7IV most of the time and if I’m doing strictly photo work I use the A7RIV.
nice video, and I'm wondering 16-35pz or 20mm f1.8 for vlogging?
Thanks! Personally I think the 16-35 would be the better pick. It’s a little more pricey, but it’s going to be more versatile. Unless you really need the 1.8 for low light. I prefer zoom lenses so I only have to carry one or two. Most of the time I have a 24-70 and 70-200 in my bag unless I’m shooting something specific like real estate or portraits. Then I pull out the specialty lenses.
Stephen, any chance you can do a video about the Sony A7iv?
interesting so you shot APSC lens on full frame no? no vignete at all no?
where do you lie brother I love the area and snow
¡Buen equilibrio! And nice vídeo.
Gracias! And thank you!
does sigma 24mm-70mm f/2.8 for your Sony fits in Canon eos 90d ? am thinkin to buy one
They do make a Cannon EF mount version.
I also have the canon 90d (you have to consider, that the focal length gets bigger with the cropped sensor, that the canon 90d has...) so i am planning on buying a 18-35mm lense, which will end up being a 27-54mm lense on the cropped sensor on the 90d.
