In truth, knowing the name of any demon gives you power over it when it comes to banishing it. That's why it became much easier to defeat Bathsheba in the first Conjuring movie after Ed called out her name during the exorcism. It puts a sort of leash around the demon, and while it does not make victory assured, it does make harming the demon and removing it easier and safer for the host. Provided the host's and the exorcist's faith and conviction are strong enough, of course. Basic rule of magic: knowing a thing's true name gives you power over it, but often that only works once.
Jason Voorhees doesn't have ANY weaknesses. It was only in the 2nd part that his mom's head made him rethink his life decisions lol. Jason has shown to be equally powerful outside Camp Crystal Lake based on his trip to Manhattan, Space etc. Also, he is NOT susceptible to drowning, burning, freezing, beheading etc. Jason Voorhees is the GOAT of slasher villains.
I love 15,10 and 4 because they're such good plot devices but my most favorite is 'closure' because that requires the central character to understand the entity to give it closure and that sometimes reveals a heartbreaking backstory like in The Haunting of Hill House.
If you like those try Oculus (2013) and Terrified (2017). The latter is the most dreadful, frightening movie I've ever seen. Amazing. You'll see what I mean. Extremely good. It's in Spanish, but the subtitles don't detract from it's terror.
Yup. What the mother did in the end, was basically like fixing a hole in the wall by nailing a wooden board over it, instead of letting a professional mend it.
the helmet merely allows them to see in multiple forms of the spectrum, once they take that off, their vision changes and they don't see in infrared anymore, more in ultrared
When people bring up the aliens in signs they seem to forget they're aliens. They're on a planet they've never been on so they might not have had any knowledge of what water was and what it could do to them.
What, their flying saucers don't give them info on every planet they invade? They're smart enough to make space crafts but not enough to know their own weaknesses? Nostalgia Critic was right, they are stupid aliens
I just think if you’re going to invade a planet you might want to find out what’s there that can kill you. If we went to a planet where it rained straight up acid I don’t think we’d stay long
We’ve never been on Jupiter but we know it would kill us. I would think that a life form capable of interstellar travel would have the capability even we have; to send a probe to a planet to take readings of it’s composition.
Jason Voorhees and Michael Myers have the same weakness. They are susceptible to dismemberment. Nobody ever beheaded them because the fans do not want the franchises to end. All the survivors wanted more people to die later.
Placing a talasman on the forehead of a yurei (Like Samara from the Ring) usually banishes them away. Or if you place a talasman on a door or window, they then can't come through. As for Michael Myers, he's a Slasher. A type of undead similar to a zombie or a vampire. And according to the Hack/Slash comic series, the only way to perminantly kill a slasher, is to completely crush the head until there is nothing but mush. Do that, and its garanteed they don't come back. Unless they are tied to a voodoo curse like Chucky or Victor Crowley. Lift the curse, then crush the head in their case.
An RPG would probably take out every single living thing. Like in the Gotham series, when the Penguin blows up Theo Galavan. '' Always bring the right tools for the job.''
I heard that the reason that silver bullets work against werewolves or vampires is because it was associated with the 30 pieces of silver that Judas used to betray Christ.
2:25 Hmm. Not everyone can just TRAVEL between continents lol it costs money Plus in the airport PLENTY of strangers will be walking you don’t know which one The it follows demon seems unbeatable
Imagine. Every creature and monster is real and the WatchMojo crew have had experiences with them and in secret are giving us the tips and instructions to survive said horrors!
Either pick one I would pack isn’t there one or so much snow that now check not Teagan’s pizza or some thing that assigns considering Harley cause water is your weakness signs
Nope! Sorry you can’t stop the Ring (or the grudge for that matter) Screens are everywhere (especially now in the 2020s) and others will always make copies (even if you don’t) Besides making a copy is the only way to save yourself. I mean you can sacrifice yourself to save someone else but then the villian still got you. FYI watch mojo she doesn’t NEED the tape to kill ppl. In the sequel, she used her mind to make this woman Stab herself.

Courage is not the absence of fear. Courage is having fear, and being strong enough and having enough conviction to keep on fighting.
Ok and?
You practicing for a speech or smth?
Nicely said. 👍🏼
Bro got that straight out of a movie and thought no one would notice (no hate)
And it's a inspirering qote
"Stake to the heart?" "Well yes, who wouldn't that kill?" always pops in my head when discussing vampires
What about beheading?? That works too. Or sun rays like in that film from dusk till dawn.
Kudos for the Hotel Transylvania reference!👌
In Supernatural, vampires are killed by beheading.
Honorable mention: Getting their red noses popped (Killer Klowns from Outer Space)
Here’s another one, Cold temperatures: The Blob
Here's another one; Cats: The Mummy (1999)
Another one: bravery the babadook!
Here’s another one, Fire: Frankenstein

Well, in Jason vs Freddy film, they showed him getting scared of water.
@@ashwinidesai4051 Nah, the final shot of the movie was Jason coming out from the lake carrying Freddy's head.
Preach
Jason is the real OG
Holy shit, Jason went to space? Sequels are more chaotic than I thought.
Jason isn't actually evil per se, he only attacks if you enter his territory, he seems to be defensive and territorial about his home
So how do you explain Jason Takes Manhattan?
@Hilz28 the dude challenged Jason, he would of lived if he left him alone
@@Hilz28If you enter a wolf’s cave it might track you down.

Scary stories to tell in the dark, has to be one of the scariest newer movies out oh and Hereditary too 😱

Yup. What the mother did in the end, was basically like fixing a hole in the wall by nailing a wooden board over it, instead of letting a professional mend it.
I feel like the Myers one isn’t a weakness… and if it is you can just about avoid most of these by moving away
Michael's real weaknes go watch a film theory video about it
Michaels not a runner or power walker or driver so keeping on the move is the best defense
Definitely IT (Pennywise) for the win in my book.

What about Jason's weakness to cryogenic freezing? 😂😂😂
