Thank you thank you! I have spent wasted hours doing the exact thing you mentioned by doing them individually!!! If I could I would give you a big hug!! After countless research or videos something to help me I finally found it in your video. Doing exactly what I was looking for and explaining it perfectly how a “normal” person can understand! Thank you again!!!
Awww thank you so much! I am so glad I could help You! I too, spent countless hours trying to research, but most videos I watched were wasted minutes of unneeded explaining to where I couldn't grasp what I needed.. so when I learned some thing, I wanted to share in a fast, but paced learning video! I really appreciate the feedback! You don't know how much it means!
Thank you so much. Every time I have to change png to svg, I come back and re-learn from your VERY helpful and concise tutorial. Thanks for posting it!
Thank you so much. I was thinking it was going to be 10x harder than it actually was. I just started using inkscape to make SVGs, PNGs, PDFs, etc. and I absolutely love the program. You just made my life a lot easier. Thank you!
Great Tutorial! I’ve been dying to do this, I wish I had known how to do this before, the whole process took 10 minutes from downloading Inkscape to uploading in DS. Thank you!!!
As I said, i didn't know alot about inkscape, so I do these videos as i learn about it myself, I have learned you don't have to work within that square! You can actually remove it if it is annoying to you! You can go to ▪file ▪document properties And uncheck the display box towards the bottom of the pop up!
Hoping u could help. I thought I followed everything u showed but when I try n bring it into ds it says the uploaded svg contained the following items that are not supported: unsupported image type-import anyway? I did try n import but nothing comes up when I import. Could u plz help w/this. It’s a very basic black n white image
Hi! Thank you for the presentation! I am looking for a way to enlarge jpg and png images without them becoming blurry. However, I need to keep the colors as well as black and white will not do. I thought the svg format would do the trick but maybe not? I would appreciate your comment, please! All the best Rolf
I believe you have simplified many aspects, but I would like to know if there is a way one can cut or change the corners of a photo I am trying to convert to svg. This is the first time I have done this, and I am not technical at all, so you really helped me. the thing is I have to publish the image to a product that happens to be round, and my first trial did not come out as I need. Just tell me if you can help, and thank you very much.
I followed this and learned so much! BUT, when I go to trace I get some broken lines. The lines are not broke prior. Is there a way to thicken the lines prior to the trace so the lines come out clean??
It was a black n white I did get it to work some of the time but I am still having issues some do one layer and some do multiple layers like I said I am new at this program I did try a color one and it didn’t work right at all I know in the video it talks about slicing but the button does come up to use just the contour button
Heather Pierce I have also learned you don't have to have your work within that square... you can actually also remove it if you like! I'm not sure why there would be several layers if it was just black and white.. a color one will have several layers.
I love your video on this but my problem is my MMouse won't save. Tells me can't save svg. When you "Import" the file do you stsy in "Inkscape" or change it to JPEG? I've been following a lot of videos and images save some don't. Have you come across this?
hello I am very new at ink scape I have watched your video a few times now, I do all the steps everything is good until i get to design space i upload the image still good until it goes in ds instead of having one layer like how its shows in the video with one layer , I have the multiple layers what am i doing wrong i hope this makes sense to you I am lost please help !!

Heather Pierce may I ask what type of image are you trying to convert? Is it color or just simple black and white?
Thank you so much, for sharing your knowledge.
Question by doing this to any image it will make it vector?
Yes
OK.. I have another question- Is there a way that I can save the image from cricut to my desktop?
Wastery unfortunately not from design space. You can add words to an image or something like that and save it from inkscape.
Yes, I used the snipping tool on your pc. Do a search for it. Very easy to use.
Thank you so much! That was very informative!!
Thanks mom. This also works for laser cutting.
