Conor, I can't thank you enough for all the knowledge you are sharing. You have so much experience and are very easy to listen to, thank you.
The zipper is just a rock solid tool. So many uses.
Great video, as always! Just another small tip..I found that using leaves to hill helps with scab and potato beetles. Leaves supply extra acidity which prevents scab plus keeps soil nice and cool which seems to help with beetles as well. Thanks for sharing the videos, tips, knowledge is priceless!
Great information, appreciate you sharing the process…!!!
Wow I m planning on planting my potatoes today here in Northern Ontario. Made my morning watching your video! Please keep them coming I so appreciate all that you do and share.

Nice work.
Thanks - great video and another idea of what to plant. They should do well in SE Michigan.

Excellent video Conor. Thank you
One issue i have in my garden is deer ! Last year they destroyed my sweet potatoes over a 2 day period. What have you done up by you to keep them out of your gardens ?
Fence
@@NeversinkFarm I have some high jumpers over here in Sullivan County. They laughed at my 4ft fence and hopped over.
Stay well. Best of luck this year.
@@Frankreddy62 6' has been the only height I've had luck with.
good luck with the beetles, only found copper really helping ?
Hello, was wondering what type of spacing you use for planting potatoes. I've seen you recommend 2.5 foot beds, and I'm seeing people recommend 4 foot spacing for main crop potatoes. What do you do, and do you use the same bed size as you normally do? Thank you: have a good day.
Boil em mash em stick em in a stew
Hey your back or youtube has been hiding you!!
Greetings,
What is good a companion plant for potatoes and did your potatoes flower?
Cheers,
Rachel 🍷
I do not interplant potatoes. Yes they flower before dying back

Plant them deeper and you won't need to hill them up so early. Great crop
How many truck loads of compost did you buy this year?and how is that sustainable
Sustainable - versus trucking in petrol based fertilizers or sustainable financially as a farm?
@@NeversinkFarm I farm...I no till most everything...my impute s have decreased dramatically.my question is if you have to buy compost every year, and you will because it breaks down...how is that sustainable?how is it profitable?I've tried leaf mulch and hay for ground cover for my garden and it takes tons...if you have 2 or raised beds,I could see where it might work...but not so much for large scale...might be wrong, dont know
Compost is an expense of running a farm business. All expenses at Neversink are about 40% of gross sales. So Yes. It is certainly financially sustainable.
Also, total planet to harvest time?
That will depend on your variety. Check you seed packet for that info
