My Curt receiver end worked fantastic on my 2017 jeep renegade. However it was way too low clearance. We attempted to install a kit that came through the bumper to solve that issue however the metal to which the hitch was supposed to be fastened to Was so flimsy that it didn’t really usually like a tin can. There was no way we were going to fasten a hitch to that metal. It would be totally unsafe and eventually break. That was very sad as I had invested $1000 in the hitch kit. They never said that it would be unsafe to screw onto the metal and they should be saying that before people spend their money on it. It was estimated that if you put this hitch on it will look really cool but only be able to tow 400 pounds. So we took the Curt receiver and off And did not install in bumper kit, and I am right back where I started with no hitch at all for my camper which is sitting in storage costing me $100 every month. I am devastated.
I've watched 3 of these videos. Lost my install instructions and thus I dont know the torque spec to tighten the nuts to... And not one of the videos mentions the ****ing torque spec, even though they set the spec on the wrench in the video, and are looking directly at it. They all say, "torque to spec"... Useless guides.

This trailer hich is very low. The factory hitch doesn't efect approach angles.
