Stay Connected ____________________ Chakhesang-Sumi According to oral tradition, Chakhesang is believed to be the eldest son, Angami the second son, and Sumi the youngest son of the first man who settled in Khezhakenoma. __________________
Kezha dialect sounds more like rengma, sumi and chakhesang (kezha) sounds similar in number (1-10) but dialect is totally aliens, comparing with chakhesang (chokri ) because some dialect and meanings in chokri sounds same as sumi dialect.. I have lots of chokri friends and 30% of chokri dialect sounds ( just few different of high pitch and low pitch sounds) like sumi with exact meaning in sumi dialect..
What a grand reception and a program! We thank Chakhesang people for time and effort in organising this grand occasion. The occasion was truly amazing and exotic. This occasion reminds us of the stories told to us by our forefathers that we are brothers from Khehakheno. In fact earliest Sumi villages such as Ighanumi and Lazami were migrated from Chakhesang area, thus indicating our oneness in tradition, culture and blood. Long live to our brotherhood!
How great and wonderful it will be if we are able to put up the same respect for each other, uplifting one another not just on this special day, but each and everyday.
May this spirit of brotherhood prevail forever between the two brother tribe. Goosebumps seeing the two brothers together. We will stand together always.
