Linkin Park has always been my favorite band. It's weird to miss someone you never met, but I still think of Chester at least once a day. His honesty and vulnerability was medicine for a whole generation. I can't even imagine the amount of lives he saved. No one can ever sing "Numb" like him. Something I'd like to mention is how you said it's weird to miss someone you never met, and I realized something. I was around 12yrs old when Numb was playing on the radio. When I first heard this song and after that In The End. I was hooked to LP and Evanescence *and various bands* for years. Im 29 now and I still listen to these songs. When Chester passed and I saw Mike start his solo career after the incident. The memories and albums I have, won't fade. We will all still sing these songs, and Nathan your cover is as breathtaking as when I first heard Chester sing.

Chester, I love and miss you so much and I could literally cry each day that you're gone. You were always my idol, my hero, someone, I wanted to be like when I'm a complete adult... it still breaks, but also fixes my heart when I listen to Linkin Park songs, and even now they're my favourite band and they'll ever be for me, #1 BAND FOREVER AND ALWAYS.

Dude, if this is your best shot, goddamn you did brilliantly! Linkin Park helped me get through my high school years, which was sadly the lowest point of my life due to heavy bullying leading me to become horribly depressed and severely socially anxious. Even now at 30 years old, I'm still dealing with the repercussions of those years. But every day, Linkin Park's music was there.
I still remember the day he died; my mum coming into my room to ask me if I'd seen any news, then letting me know Chester had died and the frantic search through news sites to confirm it. It's still hard to believe he's truly gone. The world lost a legendary man that day, but we keep his memory and legacy alive with beautiful covers like this and continuing to love the music he and the band created together.

Holy mother of marshmallows. I love this! It gives a completely different feel to the original and I love it. It almost feels that you’re drowning. Every time you try to beak the surface, you’re pushed back down but you keep fighting.
While the original makes them feel angry and like they’re lashing out at the expectations of others. Again, I love this and it bought a tear to my eye. There are so many different perspectives a person can take on a song. We generally see it from the emotional perspective of our heart in the moments we are listening to it.
