As a Birmingham fan I dream of having owners like R & R...they actually care about the club & the community, show up at games, the talk to the fans...directly not just via press releases...huge congratulations to Wrexham and fingers crossed for Notts County

When it was first announced that Rob and Ryan had bought the club, my initial reaction was to roll my eyes, figuring this was nothing more than a publicity stunt and a vanity project that they’d get bored with after a year or two. I’m happy to say that I could not have been more wrong. Ryan and Rob genuinely care, not just about the club but for the community as well and it’s so refreshing to see. Things haven’t gone perfectly but no football club in the world does everything perfectly. However they’ve put their heart and soul into helping Wrexham and have done everything right! I’d love to see them get promotion next year as well.

@@kellijones6481 well, I gotta say I was the opposite. @@Know3ody I will say they changed my mind very early on when it was reported that they were exploring ways to not only help the club, but help the community of Wrexham as well, something they’ve been very successful at so far. I remember thinking “ok, even though they’re from North America, they aren’t like the Glazers or Stan Kroenke or Todd Boehly, these guys get it, and their hearts are truly into it”. I’m an Aston Villa fan but I can’t help but have a place in my heart for Wrexham, they’ve got some of the best supporters in the world and I can’t help but root for them. I can’t wait for season two of Welcome to Wrexham and see them continue their journey into the Football League. I couldn’t help but feel giddy when I found out they secured promotion today.

Should Notts County have a rare 'off day' in the Play Offs and miss out on promotion, it would be a monumental outrage. 25 pts ahead of 3rd and a century of goals and pts like Wrexham. @45 commando Mate - Wrexham, Cardiff, Swansea and Newport have too big a fanbase and are too big full stop to be in the 'small' Welsh League. Their revenues dwarf the teams in there too, so it would be unfair on all parties. If teams are ridiculously too good for their geographical status then moving them to somewhere more competitive and better makes sense. Look at Australia, they moved into the Asian qualifying zone for the World Cup because Oceania wasn't challenging anymore, they were winning matches by 20+ goals and that is just stupid. One day they may decide the same will happen in Scotland with Celtic and Rangers coming down to the English League.

A tricky comparison, in the national League there is no ffp rules in place, and it doesn't take much to look like Abramovich in comparison to the other teams, many of which in that league have fallen on really hard times, Southend, Torquay, Oldham (although recovering), Scunny etc. I think Spurs is weird one as no one really knows as to what they actually have to spend freely, from the outside it looks like one poor season and they'll be like the Leeds team from the Ridsdale era.

Remember that in 20/21 he was the top scorer in League Two with 31 goals for a Cambridge United side which won promotion to League One, he absolutely dominated League Two. It's mad how a National League side were able to grab him after that, if he stayed with Cambridge in League One i can definitely see a world where he'd be killing it in the Championship by now.

Anyone criticizing Rob & Ryan don't understand that probably every single football fan wishes their club had owners that cared this much.
