I pledged $60.00 for members only access. We are halfway there with 24 days to go? HAH what a laugh. When you add the additional pellet feeder it will pretty much be on autopilot most of the time.
I wish I were in a position to be involved with your kickstarter. I really think that this is an answer for so many people! I am hopeful that you will eventually be able to produce a complete stove that I can purchase and have installed in my home with minimal labor. I am already trying to figure out the best place to put it! 😄
I would've loved to get a better view of the cabin and learn its square footage . Also, that digital thermometer and/or a display of the outdoor temperature would've been great. While I've watched for awhile and trust you, newcomers may not. You only get one chance with those people to impress them. Can we potentially get an addendum with those clips? Lol. You'd also get another shot to enjoy the cabin.
All nice and hot, but as long as the air for the combustion is drawn from inside the cabin, it will be replaced by freezing air coming into it through leaky windows and doors. Not a cozy environment for me...
I'm too impatient to get threw all the random talking. Use of diagrams and getting to the point would be appreciated. Putting all the technical information first consolidating and saving the chit chat for later would be nice
Just went to your store to look at air Crete stuff, noticed the new improved gun tip is listed for $89.95??? Can't imagine this is correct, might want to fix that..... or lower the actual price to something reasonable :-) Good ideas, will be getting the pdf to build foam gun soon. Thanks for the informative video's.
So a little trick here to stay warm all night. Is to put stones in that heater, let the stones heat up and then put the stones in an insulated pocket and put that in the bed with you. You can actually rig something up for under the bed, but most people just put the stones in an insulated pocket type of deal and put those in your pockets to keep your hands warm, or put the stones in your sleeping bag or directly in you bed (stones are in some kind of insulation of course) and the heat from the stones will keep you warm all night long.
Just wondering if your rocket mass heater is a good heat source for a home with 10 ft ceilings & about 2200 sq ft Really like the idea of it. Also does your pdf show adjustments in specs for larger areas & sizing for the bench & exhaust requirements Wanting to do one using your aircrete foam machine & be able to get it ready for the next winter Im just guessing it would be that long before Id be able to use it when the aircrete is cured fully
What happened to the pea gravel level between the down-draft for the heat-riser and the outer shroud? I noticed that the level was substantially lower as it was originally filled up almost to the top of the outer shroud. That may have contributed to how quickly the cabin heated up both during the night before and in the morning.
What's your thoughts on using 5" sq tubing for a riser and using 16" .375 wall down draft pipe? Would that be too big? I didn't know how effective it would be being so much bigger.
they had a problem with condensation until they aircrete-ed the stove pipe, that's the brown leakage you saw when he showed you the outside 15:50. all the stuff that would turn to creosote should be burnt in the riser, that's what the secondary air vents were about at 10:35.
I'm 3rd.! That heater is the BOMB! A real stroke of genius, Darwin. 👍🏻👍🏻

Way cool (warm) Darwin. I can hardly wait to begin building the new design and marketing the hell out of them.
Have you tried making it with used motor oil instead of wood. I ask because I have access to a lot of oil but not wood.
Sick!
Love seeing the stove and cabin! Since I already have my stove I am going to take the kickstarter reward with the fire starters! Love those things!

You need to pull air into the stove from outside, not inside. Would be a massive improvement.
Great job, I love the ingenuity and creativity! Pleasant videos except see my other comment. Thanks
How do I build something like this? I'm a welder and want on ror mr rv.

what are the chances a rocket style fuel feeder would be more efficient ?
Is it possible to make the top of the stove being used for cooking adjustable?

deffo would've. maybe julie liked the quicker heat.

As long as certain cross section relationships are kept the same, the size should not matter
Thought she moved to an apartment.

Is creosote an issue with this stove as the stove pipe doesn't get hot enough to burn it out? What is maintenance like?

There is never creosote...I love my stove because it is maintenance free
Sorry to say but that stove looks junky.
