Even with the sound mess up, the axle install was very smooth and informative. Nice being able to do it with your dad.👍

Great video, but the sound would cut out. I just figured there were words not suitable for U tube . Lol. Great work!

Thank you! It seems the sound track got butchered when it was uploaded to RUclips it’s fine on my video editing program not sure the solution yet. For the most part the video is good, or we could just pretend it went sideways and had to sensor the heck out of it too. What ever floats your boat i suppose. Thanks again for watching.

This is similar to how I did my Camaro, but I found it to be easier to get the leaf springs bolted up first with the axle suspended above them on jack stands. That way you can get them all lined up and bolted in individually very easily then just drop the axle down onto the pins.

I have done it that as well and works good too. Both ways use gravity to help get the axle settled on the rubber and pin.

Great video and very informative as always. Of course I filled in the blanks and you for some reason started talking like Kermit the frog. Nice to see this turning in to a father son project!

Had a sound issue after uploading on RUclips it seems. I don’t keep the original footage once I upload, not enough memory space, I am not sure how to fix it afterwards unfortunately

Again you make this look to easy. It sucks you lost the audio but great video. slick idea putting old rims on there, i set mine on a creeper and slid it in......not the most fun. cant wait to see more. The Great pumpkin is really coming along.

Thanks buddy. I am not sure exactly how the sound track got butchered during the upload, it’s fine on my video editor but when put on RUclips it went all kinds of wrong.

Contact cement keeps the rubber in place.

The bottom is so so nice. What paint did you use for it? I bought a chassis paint for the firewall that I was thinking to use on the bottom, but the finish you have looks far more smooth.

The underbody was painted with summit brand chassis black, it looked a bit brown when I was done. I don’t think I will use it again. So I went with a 60% gloss chassis paint i bought from eBay for under the hood and will use it on the underbody from now on

Is there something wrong with the sound or is that something wrong on my end?

@@VinylVillageGarage Yeah, the audio and video are out of sync during the rim to panel measurements and the end credits as well.
