- Hallo Freunde,
heute mein erstes Video in deutsch. In diesem Video zeige ich euch wie ich einen Panther G von Academy ( Maßstab 1/35 ) bemale und verwittere.

today my first video in german language where I show you how I do the painting and weathering. The kit is a Panther G from Academy in scale 1/35.

Wieder eins ehr schönes Modellgeworden. Ich kann dein struggle verstehen. Wann hört man auf, wann macht man weiter, ohne was zu versauen :D
Hi Daniel, ist immer das selbe..... auch jetzt noch.... egal was für ein Modell ich mache.... wann ist genug an Ölfarbe drauf... soll ich mehr machen.... oder weniger..?? Hat aber fast immer doch noch geklappt... am besten ist es, wenn man das Modell oder die Figur / Figuren mal einfach einen Tag stehen lässt und dann wieder anschaut ... dann sieht man ob es genug ist.

@@Tightheadproppainting Für mich als Neuling war beides hochinteressant anzusehen und dadurch das es auf deutsch war noch leichter die einzelnen Schritte nachzuvollziehen von Anfang bis Ende. Ich bin aber auch ein Fan davon dem Bau beizuwohnen weil man dabei unter Umständen auch noch einiges an Techniken und Verfahren lernen könnte die einem Dinge eventuell vereinfachen oder zu einem besseren Ergebnis führen. Also danke für die Arbeit diese Videos zu erstellen und zu teilen.

How that turned out really well. Pigment work on the wheels was particularly good. Much better than the Panther I did.

My pigment work could be better....I like it how Mike Rinaldi do it.... but I will also try to work with the "Enamel Splashes" from AMMO to give the lower hull a better look. I saw you have a channel.....I will try to watch some of your videos when I am back from work. Thank you for your comment
I really enjoyed watching you ace this paint and weather job on this build my friend. The weathering was near perfect and just the right amount in my opinion. I didn’t see you put on a clear coat before the oil dot filter process, so do you think it is essential, or do you think it is not needed? I am reasonably new to the hobby, and I am happy with the work I have done so far, but always looking for ways to improve. I will be sure to check out you other content. Greetings from Australia 🇦🇺!
Hi Gary, sorry for the late answer 😞. If you use acrylic colors as a base color, you dont need a clear coat, but I will do it now for my future projects !! Because it is better to protect the acrylic color before you work with the brush over your model again and again. It depends on how hard do you work over the surface.
I would say.... if you use the oilcolor only to give your model a filter, or to make some parts brighter.... you dont need a clear coat. If your surface on the model is rough ( like I do sometimes with plastic glue, to give the surface a look like the german steel was on the tanks ) , I would protect the model with a clear coat, because I must work harder with the brush to blend the colors. My english is not good, but I hope it make sense what I wrote here. Have a nice day Gary 🙃

Thank you for your reply regarding my question. Your comments were very helpful to me, and shows that I am on the right path. I do use acrylic paint for the base coating on my models, and I have tried weathering with and without a clear coat, and I feel that a clear gloss or satin coating prior to pinwash and weathering, provides a better surface for the oils or enamel products that I use.
I still have trouble getting the weathering right, but I think I am improving, thanks to watching guys like yourself and absorbing what I can of the methods used. Thanks once again, and cheers for now!

Richtig gut Umgesetzt! Ich finde das Weathering genau passend, nicht zu viel und nicht zu wenig. Aktuell versuche ich das Tarnschema wie hier gezeigt auf einem 1:16 Panther Ausf. F zu übertragen. Ich hab ein wenig das Problem, dass bei RC Fahrzeugen durch den RC Betrieb ohnehin eine gewisses "Weathering" stattfindet (Verstaubung z.B.)
Pigmente fallen damit i.d.R. weg, vor allem weil diese auch nicht grifffest sind.
Hast du da eine Alternative, damit dir Horizontalen Flächen wie Motordeck, Turmdach etc. sich auch ohne Pigmente besser einfügen? Nach dem Dot-Fading und Streaking auf den vertikalen Flächen hat man ja schon einen großen Unterschied zwischen den Flächen.
Hallo Falkenthal, du könntest auch mit "Pigment Fixer" arbeiten..... gibt es von AMMO und von AK Interactiv. Damit halten die Pigmente ganz gut am Fahrzeug. Es gibt auch noch "Heavy Mud" und "Splashes" von AMMO. Das ist eine Enamel Paste, mit der man Matsch und Staub simulieren kann. Ich würde erst an einem Plastik Becher/Deckel das testen.....also erst den Plastik Deckel mit der Airbrush in der Farbe besprühen, die das Fahrzeug hat..... dann mit der Paste dünn arbeiten und testen.... die Enamel Paste ist nach 24 Stunden gut fest. www.migjimenez.com/en/69-mud evtl. könnte dir das was helfen beim Verwittern.

Hello tankstoke09, no.... you dont need to wash the putty.... I made it in the beginning, but you dont must do it.
I have a question! Does the enamel thinner will lock the pigment permanently? I am using the tamiya enamel thinner, don't know whether it will works or not...
Hello zai emo, you can remove the pigments with a brush if you want..... the enamel thinner is enough for me... it is not a wargaming model, what you must touch always on the gaming table. For a scale model is it enough, because you dont touch it so much.But sometimes I use also pigment fixer when I build up the pigments to simulate mud or dry earth on the side from the hull or behind the wheels. You can show your friend the model without loosing the pigments when you used only enamel thinner. I hope it was helpfull for you.... greetings Carsten

@@Tightheadproppainting yeah im at this moment slowly stripping paint of my Tamiya Panther G late, cant wait to paint it in simillar camo with reseda grun as base, rot braun and dunkelgelb hard edge, sharp camo stripes
Thank you, I like your procedure. Do you follow the same general procedure for each model? And how many years did it take you to learn everything you showed in the video?
Hi Bob, sometimes I change my procedure.... when I use chipping fluid.... in the last time I worked a lot with laquer paints ... and a lot of oilcolors for the filter ,washes and other weathering stuff... I like it in the last time to work with the new oilcolors from AMMO or other brands. But in the beginning it was only the way from Mig Jimenez with his system with acrylic colors and for weathering with enamel washes... still the best way to finish a model fast and to see in the end a nice result !! But I try to be open for new things.... Michael Rinaldi has also very nice results with his system..... it need more time, but nice... !!! Check his videos....!! To learn the techniques...I spend a lot of time at my workbench and watched a lot of videos....but... if I can do it, you can do it for sure.... it is not rocket science, and it is like sport.... do it many times and it will be better... for sure... !!!

Der PV ist Dir sehr gut gelungen. Genau diese Version, noch zusätzlich mit dem Tieffliegerschutz über den Kühleröffnungen, werde ich mir auch noch auf den Basteltisch stellen. Ob ich den von Academy oder nem anderen Hersteller nehme, das steht noch nicht fest.
Aber dein Video hat mir einiges gezeigt, was ich in ähnlicher Art und Weise auch bei meinem anwenden werde.

Mir ist nur aufgefallen, das dein Modell einen kl. Fehler hat. Zumindest wenn man der Anleitung und der Literatur/Fotos glauben kann. Die letzten Panther, die MAN gebaut hat, hatten alle, auch dein 421, auf dem letzten Schwingarm die Stahllaufrolle montiert ! Da hast Du aber die normale Laufrolle verwendet, Absicht oder "Baufehler" ?
Ich finde gerade diese Detail, zusammen mit der Grün-Brauntarnung, sind die Erkennungsmerkmale der April-Panther.
Deine "Deutsch-Version" des Videos war sehr gut und sehr gut verständlich.
Ich freue mich auf weitere in dieser Art.

Habe gerade noch einmal im "Camouflage Profile Guide 1945 German Colors" nachgeschaut...... vollkommen richtig was du geschrieben hast !!!!! Es muß eine Stahllaufrolle am letzten Schwingarm sein !!! Ich habe leider die Bauanleitung nicht mehr auf dem Tisch......kann aber sehr gut ein Baufehler von mir sein. Vielen Dank für die Info !! Gruß Carsten

Nun ja, Jeder schaut mal falsch hin, davon kann sich niemand frei sprechen. Aber die wahre Größe zeigt sich erst, wenn man auch dazu steht. Dafür meinen Respekt, viele können das eben nicht.
Nichtsdestotrotz bleibt der Panther ein sehr gelungenes Modell, das mir als Muster dienen wird.

Das kenne ich, war in meiner "Sturm+Drang"-Bastelzeit auch so. Da juckt es sehr in den Fingern, schon der Weg vom Geschäft nach Hause war aus lauter Vorfreude "ewig" lang.
Ich glaube, das Gefühl kennt jeder.
Das mit dem Panther wird noch was dauern, die Gründe gehören aber nicht hier hin.
Als nächstes Projekt ist erstmal ein
Zerstörer 45 in 1:87, Basis Roco Wirbelwind mit Schatton Rohren an der Reihe !
Facebook wird wohl nicht klappen, da ich dort nicht angemeldet bin und das auch nicht vorhabe. Die Geschäfts und Firmenpolitik ist für mich nicht akzeptabel, da kollidiert meine Erziehung+meine persönliche Einstellung zu heftig mit.
Aber es gibt ja noch andere Wege.
