@@Gary-er3om Steelers roster is MUCH better. But you have to consider the schedule. It’s not an apples to apples comparison to last season. That schedule is brutal. It’s possible but Tomlin has to coach less conservatively & try to win on offense too-instead of the defense all the time. No more punting from the opponent’s 45 late in games.

We added good consistent QB, better Offensive Coordinator, improve O Line, added good LB, got solid and upgrades at Corner and Strong Safety, added depth, and had a great draft class, and they still think we will be bad or mid.

The other 3 AFC North teams improved more than the Steelers. Their QBs are healthy. Wilson is not. This year’s schedule is different than last year’s schedule. Steelers have a tough row to hoe.

This is one of the most respectable analyst I’ve seen this offseason. I think the Steelers have improved by more than just skill of their roster. They’ve brought in more leadership and a competent OC who has seen success in the NFL.
I believe Wilson at ILB deserves a shoutout as well as he may end up being a steal of the draft for the Steelers. The schedule is the biggest factor in the record for me. But the thing is Steelers the last 15-20 years have played bad teams bad and good teams good. So maybe with higher competition the results will be better.

If our offense can score more than 20 points a game, and with Wilson and Smith.....i just find it difficult to believe steelers wont have double digit wins. Im just looking at everything statistically and it all adds up from what ive been reading, hearing, and seeing. The issue for Steelers is can everyone stay healthy for the majority of the season

This season is interesting, for starters its rare for Pittsburgh to get a Dual-Threat QB. Secondly, I think they'll win more than 9-10 games. [Its no secret that the NFL Hates Pittsburgh] but they do love to give them tough schedules. Despite the 7th Hardest Schedule, they're gonna win at least 11-12 Games & a Division Title [Winning via Tiebreaker]. Losses by Philadelphia, on the Road against Cincy, Road against Baltimore, Kansas City [if Pittsburgh manages to beat the Chiefs, it changes the entire conference & they'll guarantee a 1-3 Seed] & Raiders

They are going against the AFC West this season, which has the Chiefs
They are going against the NFC East this season, which has the Eagles and Cowboys
They have easy games against 3 other #3 seeds (Falcons, Jets, and Colts)
THAT is how their schedules are decided. The NFL didn't rig their schedule to be harder. This schedule ensures that every team plays every other team in the NFL at least once every four years.

7.5 is crazy considering we've only upgraded from last year to this year. Veteran QB, actual OC, stud rookies, Patrick Queen from the ravens, etc. If we made the playoffs last year without an offense I can't imagine how we'd do worse this year unless we just get insanely unlucky/wrecked by injury

Bruh they really dont know us like that. We had a good off season. Adding two viable QBs, a slot wr in Wilson and addresing the o-line via the draft. Had another solid draft just like the year prior. We added Payton Wilson, Patrick Queen and Deshaun Elliot. Dont forget about the trade for Dontae Jackson either. Young players in YR2 with JPJ, Benton, Jones and Herbig. No reason this team shouldn't win 10 games. Biggest question for me is the WR spot outside of Pickens. Defensively not sure whos gonna be our slot CB until Cam Sutton comes back.

Steelers were 5-1 against the AFC North last season... there is no reason to expect any less this year. The only caveat is the final stretch towards the end of the season and a lot of that will be dependent on injury, fatigue, and player conditioning. This season will be all about attrition and stamina. 13-4, AFC North champs.

Even though Baltimore has picked up Derrick Henry, and congrats to them, the Ravens have typically struggled when facing the Steelers the last couple years. So we can hopefully count a conference win against them as well.
