The gameplay doesn’t look bad, but the rescue kit to keep your ship in the right being a consumable seeps like it will be pay 2 win
That part reeks too much of Burning Sea consumables.

They should have went with mortars like in Black Flag instead of torpedoes to be more realistic
Mortars are available as well
If this was a single player (maybe coop) game about exploring islands, assembling a crew, building a pirate base and fighting npc controlled ships this would’ve been perfect.
The game is 90% PVE. I picked up a special item that activates PvP and it's the only pvp in the game
But there is no base building

I was excited for this game, but the sailing ships going 100 knots and reloading all decks in 3~ seconds really kills it.
Torpedos over 150 years too early.
I didnt notice until he made that U-turn, but it seems like this game about sailing ships doesn't take into account the fucking wind direction, the most important thing in sailing a ship. Black flag Also made this mistake, but sailing wasn't the main feature in an AC game.

I had hope but this looks like a crap attempt tbh, like why are there torpedos in PIRATE ships! Seems like it will get boring shortly after starting but who knows

People complaining about torpedoes and accuracy are still going to play this game. There is literally no other pirate game out that will be as fun to play or even feel or look as good. I’ll take what I can. Not a big deal. Game actually looks great for what we have out for Pirate games right now.

Assuming this game takes place in the Golden age of piracy, they're over 150 years too early. Killed it for me too.

@slydog75 that's probably just a gameplay feature. Ac4 did the same thing, the ships are super fast and they ignore wind direction, but the ships are otherwise rather authentic. This isnt the case here

@@L0RDIEEmm but last I checked we didn’t have torpedoes in that era, also what powers them? Why don’t they immediately start massive water seepage, things that aren’t real but go a little too far in establishing a semi reasonable world, hence arcadey

You have to pick up a special kind of item that will spawn around the map and while you carry it pvp is on

Nope, this is a beta for PC atm but will come to the PS5 when its released, but as yet we don't know when it's coming out

Torpedos..lol..what a load of crap...and the ship models look dorky...the deck of the ship looks fine...but the outside of the ships look kind of dorky..

Game is Trash, stay away from this scam. We had a PvP Flagging Option ingame. u could flag yourself for more xp and gold and more fun. u wanted PvE Chill? U could turn PvP off. now this game is such GARBAGE and hope the DEV who did this get tossed out. he is not a gamer, he is a scammer.
