One thing i really loved about Linkin Park is how, every album after Meteora, they tried to do something different. Every album that released, they evolved, doing something new, not repeating the same thing over and over, and I loved that about them. It seems a lot of the albums after Meteora took awhile for them to grow on people, and that's sad. I hope someday that more people will give these other albums a chance and learn to appreciate them.
I also appreciate that Linkin Park tried do experimentations with their music after Meteora. It's much more interesting to me than if they had kept repeting the approaches used on their firts two albums.

Same here, and then my favorite LP song following after that is just a 10/10 for me. I also love how the album starts really energetic and has a bold beginning and ends with a more somber style, probably my favorite LP album.
I'm starting to realize that if you only fall in love with an Artist/band's original sound, do you even like the band.... or do you only like the specific sound they made? I love all their albums (besides the RECHARGED, and even that one has some bangers) because they have some special positive message in their new albums. Their old albums had that anger and fury that I love to listen to in the gym or if I'm going through something but their newer albums spoke to the soul. TL:DR I just give my story of why Linkin Park is and will always be my favorite band of all time. I've been listening to LP since I was 12 or so. What I've Done and Transformers made me wanna discover more of them. I repeated Minutes to Midnight over and over and I needed more. Hybrid Theory and Meterora made me lose my shit. (Still my favorite 2 albums... Meteroa then Hybrid Theory 😬 then this one actually) Then I discovered more music outside of Linkin Park, they were one for the main bands that got me into heavy metal and post hardcore stuff. I've always come back to them when I'm in a rut in life and I just play through all their albums cause they're one of two bands I actually know 90%of their lyrics in 90% of every single song in every single album, and sing along in my head or whistle or hum the bass line or air drum the rhythm. (The other one is Breaking Benjamin) Or at least now I do. Idk how many times since I discovered them that I do that. But I'm 29 now, a few months away from turning 30 on July 18th. Yeah... great day 👍 I'm also a few months away from getting out of a 2 year relationship with the most wonderful girl I've ever met. I've never known what "the one" has felt like until now. Makes me want to change and work to be the best me I can be for her. To stop being a piece of shit and finally grow into being a man. I moved to a different state for her when I was 27 after a few months together. I didn't go back home. I moved to a different state actually. Now I'm working from home on a Sunday afternoon for 6 hours and started with Hybrid Theory after about an hour of some Northlane. Got through Meteora, Minutes to Midnight, and A Thousand Suns. Then hit this one and wrapped up what I was doing for work. Somehow I came across a song I had never heard before. Not Alone. This must be a part of that 10% I don't know. But I just sat in complete silence. Listening to Chester's ridiculous voice and comprehending the lyrics. When you get the crazy feeling that the artist is talking directly to you. You just absorb the song and digest the entire thing. It's happened before with them. Different times in life. Whatever you're going through at the time and whatever you connect with at the time. And some bands you get that over and over with. I have never had this happen as much as I have with LP. But I'm glad I can enjoy their music to the fullest even still. They will forever be number 1 for me.

I was a Linkin Park fan from the beginning. I will always love Hybrid Theory, Reanimation and Meteora. Lately though, I've been coming back often to this particular album, as well as a few other songs. Not all of their later stuff hits me as hard, but I appreciate every one of their songs.
Ahhh, my favorite album... it's so refreshing to listen back on every year or so. I don't want to over-listen and get tired of it. Unfortunately did that with Hybrid Theory and Thousand Suns and it's depreciated my love of those two. Still love all the albums though, don't mistake me! 😀
I like their first 2 albums, but not all songs are for me. Minutes to Midnight is my favorite Linkin Park album. For some reason I have not listened to any of their other albums until yesterday(A Thousand Suns) and today it's Living Things for my first time.

It does, like every other LP album after Meteora. An unnecessary lot of the "oG fAnS" can't grow up, mature and get over the loss of that sound, sadly.

@@sir..nightmaree a thousand suns, to me, is probably their best album. I grew up listening to hybrid and meteora, and when ats first came out, I fucking hated it. Now though, it is genuinely one of my favourite albums of all time.
@@wolframvonstein7303 or it’s not very good. They cut out the sick industrial influences, and limited Chester’s awesome range. They went for a softer sound and so naturally that was polarizing.

Lost in the Echo and I'll be gone are my faves in this album.. when I'm having anxiety attacks, these calms me down.. it's like Chester patting me in the back saying it's gonna be ok..
It's "not", it was made after the tragedy of the Earthquake in Haiti that killed hundreds of thousands of beautiful Haitians. LP went there to try to help and "Not Alone" emanated from that heart wrenching visit. R.I.P. Chester.
@@BlinkPS2 That wouldn't make too much sense, since "What I've Done" was a song on Minutes to Midnight and a part of the Bayformers 1 score, "Iridescent" was a song on A Thousand Suns and a part of the Bayformers 3 score. And while "New Divide" made it into Transformers 2, the album Living Things right here came out after A Thousand Suns. But maybe Linkin Park didn't go with the timely logic for that, then I wouldn't know about it... Or maybe you were just talking about putting it in here as a bonus track that kinda fits stylistically, in which case I think that I would have to agree!

Wow I love this album. I've heard Linkin Park first during my college years and lost touch a little bit when I was busy discovering other music at my college's radio station. Now that I'm older the songs hit me a little harder. I regret taking forever to listen to Living Things. I miss Chester and band playing together a lot lately 😭😭😭

@@fannimationstudiosstopmoti4114 you are right friend. I realy hate songs that Mike sings little, the reason that make Linkin Park so different from the other bands is because they was a Rap Rock band with two vocalists, see them so worse saddens me, they become practicaly a Chester solo band.
@@HitlerGaymes123 not really tbh Mike I'd say outside of a few songs has always been equal in their albums he had alot of parts in one more light, ATS, and this album same with Hunting party if anything minutes to midnight is a chester solo album but imo that's not bad cause Mike put so much production into that album. But hey that's just my opinion I love all Linkin Park even the songs that are a little goofy sometimes. And on a side note I'd say Mike had more parts in hybrid theory and meteora than Chester. @@JintarOem Being a "real fan" doesn't mean loving everything they produce. The thing is, (in my opinion) there is a clear difference between the first two albums and the rest. I'm not saying either one is bad but, different things tend to appeal to different publics, which might be one of the reasons why people who liked Hybrid Theory and Meteora disliked the rest. As for me, I consider the first two albums as masterpieces, Thousand Suns as very good (mostly), and this one as mediocre. I didn't listen to the other albums so I don't know about them.

I keep catching myself thinking only if Bennington could have had a much needed break through into peace finally. It was crushing to the new direction his talent was bringing to heavy music. I wonder if Linkin Park now find themselves lost without him? I don't know if they are even putting any project together.
It took me a while to appreciate Linkin' Park's work. I was more into Metal, thrash and Industrial Music- Slayer, Megadeth, Manson, Nine Inch Nails, Skinny Puppy, etc. so didn't really get into Linkin Park but the Re-animation Album changed that. That album is a Masterpiece.

I don’t know if it’s the nostalgia talking but this is probably one of the best LINKIN PARK albums of all time
One thing i really loved about Linkin Park is how, every album after Meteora, they tried to do something different. Every album that released, they evolved, doing something new, not repeating the same thing over and over, and I loved that about them.
It seems a lot of the albums after Meteora took awhile for them to grow on people, and that's sad. I hope someday that more people will give these other albums a chance and learn to appreciate them.
I also appreciate that Linkin Park tried do experimentations with their music after Meteora. It's much more interesting to me than if they had kept repeting the approaches used on their firts two albums.
@@fuutaroututor8661 It’s what makes them special. They experiment and succeed in doing more genres than just nu metal. No other artists have covered as many genres as them.
I never gave their later albums a chance, but now I'm coming back around and everything hits different. I appreciate them so much more in 2024.

I'm starting to realize that if you only fall in love with an Artist/band's original sound, do you even like the band.... or do you only like the specific sound they made? I love all their albums (besides the RECHARGED, and even that one has some bangers) because they have some special positive message in their new albums. Their old albums had that anger and fury that I love to listen to in the gym or if I'm going through something but their newer albums spoke to the soul. Roads Untraveled, Castle of Glass, Powerless ALL touch the soul in their own way. R.I.P. Chester. Gone too soon

TL:DR I just give my story of why Linkin Park is and will always be my favorite band of all time.
I've been listening to LP since I was 12 or so. What I've Done and Transformers made me wanna discover more of them. I repeated Minutes to Midnight over and over and I needed more. Hybrid Theory and Meterora made me lose my shit. (Still my favorite 2 albums... Meteroa then Hybrid Theory 😬 then this one actually) Then I discovered more music outside of Linkin Park, they were one for the main bands that got me into heavy metal and post hardcore stuff. I've always come back to them when I'm in a rut in life and I just play through all their albums cause they're one of two bands I actually know 90%of their lyrics in 90% of every single song in every single album, and sing along in my head or whistle or hum the bass line or air drum the rhythm. (The other one is Breaking Benjamin) Or at least now I do. Idk how many times since I discovered them that I do that. But I'm 29 now, a few months away from turning 30 on July 18th. Yeah... great day 👍 I'm also a few months away from getting out of a 2 year relationship with the most wonderful girl I've ever met. I've never known what "the one" has felt like until now. Makes me want to change and work to be the best me I can be for her. To stop being a piece of shit and finally grow into being a man. I moved to a different state for her when I was 27 after a few months together. I didn't go back home. I moved to a different state actually. Now I'm working from home on a Sunday afternoon for 6 hours and started with Hybrid Theory after about an hour of some Northlane. Got through Meteora, Minutes to Midnight, and A Thousand Suns. Then hit this one and wrapped up what I was doing for work. Somehow I came across a song I had never heard before. Not Alone. This must be a part of that 10% I don't know. But I just sat in complete silence. Listening to Chester's ridiculous voice and comprehending the lyrics. When you get the crazy feeling that the artist is talking directly to you. You just absorb the song and digest the entire thing. It's happened before with them. Different times in life. Whatever you're going through at the time and whatever you connect with at the time. And some bands you get that over and over with. I have never had this happen as much as I have with LP. But I'm glad I can enjoy their music to the fullest even still. They will forever be number 1 for me.

I was a Linkin Park fan from the beginning. I will always love Hybrid Theory, Reanimation and Meteora. Lately though, I've been coming back often to this particular album, as well as a few other songs. Not all of their later stuff hits me as hard, but I appreciate every one of their songs.
Ahhh, my favorite album... it's so refreshing to listen back on every year or so. I don't want to over-listen and get tired of it. Unfortunately did that with Hybrid Theory and Thousand Suns and it's depreciated my love of those two. Still love all the albums though, don't mistake me! 😀
I like their first 2 albums, but not all songs are for me. Minutes to Midnight is my favorite Linkin Park album. For some reason I have not listened to any of their other albums until yesterday(A Thousand Suns) and today it's Living Things for my first time.

But maybe Linkin Park didn't go with the timely logic for that, then I wouldn't know about it...

Heard Not Alone for the first time. Apparently it wasn't on the copy of album that I have. And man, it's so refreshing Chester in a new song!! Just having goosebumps over and over again.
Have you checked recent Grey Daze albums? If not, then i really suggest you to, some great songs with Chester there.

I realy hate songs that Mike sings little, the reason that make Linkin Park so different from the other bands is because they was a Rap Rock band with two vocalists, see them so worse saddens me, they become practicaly a Chester solo band.
@@HitlerGaymes123 not really tbh Mike I'd say outside of a few songs has always been equal in their albums he had alot of parts in one more light, ATS, and this album same with Hunting party if anything minutes to midnight is a chester solo album but imo that's not bad cause Mike put so much production into that album. But hey that's just my opinion I love all Linkin Park even the songs that are a little goofy sometimes. And on a side note I'd say Mike had more parts in hybrid theory and meteora than Chester. Also haven't you realized yet that one more light was Chester last goodbye? I feel like not a lot of want to talk about it cause its sad but idk listening to it when thinking like that gives you a different experience
...I've seen that for others that this was also their first album. While Hybrid Theory and Meteora speak to me more, I still love MtM and onward.

@@JintarOem Being a "real fan" doesn't mean loving everything they produce. The thing is, (in my opinion) there is a clear difference between the first two albums and the rest. I'm not saying either one is bad but, different things tend to appeal to different publics, which might be one of the reasons why people who liked Hybrid Theory and Meteora disliked the rest. As for me, I consider the first two albums as masterpieces, Thousand Suns as very good (mostly), and this one as mediocre. I didn't listen to the other albums so I don't know about them.

I keep catching myself thinking only if Bennington could have had a much needed break through into peace finally. It was crushing to the new direction his talent was bringing to heavy music. I wonder if Linkin Park now find themselves lost without him? I don't know if they are even putting any project together.

I love this album, Is the best of Linkin Park.
It took me a while to appreciate Linkin' Park's work. I was more into Metal, thrash and Industrial Music- Slayer, Megadeth, Manson, Nine Inch Nails, Skinny Puppy, etc. so didn't really get into Linkin Park but the Re-animation Album changed that. That album is a Masterpiece.
