I use the Calendar in Pro-Presenter to every Sunday automatically start (a) my pre-service Notices slides playlist at 9:00 am, (b) my pre-service Welcome Video media playlist at 9:26 am and then (c) Clear All and Switch to the Praise and Worship screen layouts at 09:30 am. (b) and (c) are configured as macros so that I can also trigger these manually. I also have a macro that is configured to be triggered automatically whenever ProPresenter is started. This macro sets the default pre-services screen layouts, logo, and timers whenever ProPresenter is started.
You can't apply a theme but you can apply a look. Just remember that your workflow goes 1. Create them in theme editor, 2. Create a look which is where you assign the theme to different screens and outputs 3. Apply look to presentation slides
@@learnpropresenter OK. We'll need to look at this. We have been applying the theme to each slide and then applying a look to the group of them. The hierarchy of these is not obvious - still confused I think.
You should be able to have the main elements on your slide eg text or images then setup your themes in the theme editor for each slide type e.g. song lyrics, persons name title etc. After this you can set a look up using the themes. This is because you might want to have two themes assigned to one look e.g. in the room theme and an online lower third theme assigned to one look so the slide that is selected goes to both places with individual themes happening at the same time.
@@learnpropresenter OK. Still trying to get my head around this. So you can apply a theme to a slide and also apply a theme to a Look? Do you need to do both? Where is the logic in all this?
No you can’t apply both to a slide. You need to create a theme, assign the theme to a look and then apply the look to a slide. This is because the theme is what the slide looks like and it’s design, the look allows you to assign multiple themes to multiple outputs at the same time so you would then only have to apply one look to the presentation but get multiple results at the same time. It is confusing but the best way is to think about what you are specifically trying to do and achieve. Do you just have slides on your screens in church and a stage display? Do you have any lower thirds as well going to an online stream, do You have a screen in the foyer showing upcoming events? All of these will Impact your setup and how you need to run things
i need help, we’ve found propresenter to be able to display the lyrics when our singers sing or to display announcements, instead of using powerpoint, but we have no idea how to display that picture on screen and at the same time, change each slide manually and switch between libraries, please help us!!
Hey guys, thanks for reaching out. I’d suggest this video for a start but go and watch our videos on screen outputs and looks and themes and that should get you most of the way there. Feel free to reach out with any questions too! ruclips.net/video/H_Fi3e0UGho/видео.html
We use arrangements but have found that even though we make a copy, if we make a text change to a verse, such as adding another line at the end, this also changes the Master file. This doesn't seem right, as we understood that the Master always stays the same. Ideas?
There are two options here that could be occurring and it depends on how you are editing your song. 1. If you are editing the actual text this will have an impact on the song lyrics as you are editing the actual content of the section of the song. E.g. If you had verse 1 chorus verse 2 chorus bridge, then you added an extra line on the actual slides as text this would change every chorus to be the same throughout the song. What you actually want to do is create a new 'section' for the song e.g. Create a new label which could be chorus 2 or bridge or whatever makes sense and then make your edits in this section of the song. 2. You are making changes to your actual master file not one of your arrangements by accident. You just need to right click your song title in playlists and choose your version. However, if you are making text edits I am not certain, but I imagine this will edit the actual song in all arrangements as the arrangement is essentially just displaying the sections of a song in a different order and editing the text in a section will alter this section in all arrangement (I think).
@@learnpropresenter Thanks. Just tried it again, making sure I was on the arrangement and it did alter the master as well. I did create a new section but the master remained changed.
This is how I would do it. It is a quick screen recording showing me try to edit the text in the arrangement, then using a separate group label to add a chorus 2 that you can then add or take away from any arrangement as needed ruclips.net/video/5YKzCsz85PU/видео.html
@@learnpropresenter Thanks heaps. I'll need to look at it a few times, but I appreciate you going to the trouble of doing a specific video. I'm at Gymea Baptist in Southern Sydney and we're refining our PP systems.

Great suggestions. The more people get comfortable with PP7 the better it gets as you can gradually increase your automation!
Starting to look at Macros. However it seems that you can't apply a Theme via a Macro? Is that the case? Thanks
