The Genesis intro track makes me cry every time. It just exudes a "this is a story of tragedy", like you're about to hear/see the saddest thing ever, the death of an innocent child from abuse and a dysfunctional family. When you think of the actual plot of the game, it's impossible not to feel a lump in your throat.
Man, I wish I can listen to the previous menu themes in Repentance without having to install separate instances of the game or visit RUclips. I have ideas on how this would work: • Make it progression-based: Rebirth's Genesis would work as the default title screen theme. After unlocking Polaroid/Negative or beating Hush for the first time, Afterbirth's ReGenesis should replace the title theme (after all, the game's only just begun at that point). Then after beating Hush 3 times thus unlocking alt path to Downpour, the final title theme Genesis II should play. I think this would be a great indicator of your Isaac gameplay progression and the mood of the story. • A simple toggle in the Options menu like Antibirth's original vs remix soundtracks. Just cool ideas I had while enjoying the entire soundtrack!
Not sure if you know cause not a lot do, but another game called "The Legend of Bumbo" has a lullaby version of Genesis and it actually connects to the story of The Binding of Issac in the perspective of the father Just thought to put it out there
genesis retake dark will always be my favorite genesis. it haunts me to the very core. while the rest have vocals, the retake dark vocals stand out so much. it really makes you feel like there's someone there, someone singing to you as you select which damaged, broken, and bruised tainted character you're gonna pick. brilliant.

Regenesis is amazing, not becuase is it the most elaborated one between the genesis soundtracks, but becuase it remembers me alot of when I used to watch gameplays and content of this game many years ago, when I was a little dumb kid. Man the memories!

I really adore how the main music of the game developed throughout the years. Genesis really sounds like a new beginning. ReGenesis sounds much more pumped as the series is at it's peak and we've just begun with Isaacs story (well except for how bad Afterbirth+ was). Genesis Retake feels like the finale and epilogue to the series.

Idk about you, but it gives me more "horrifying story about a kid accidentally killing himself because he thinks he's a demon and ends up in the limbo forced to deal with his creations forever while his mom has to deal with 2 losses within the span of a few months" vibes than Genesis and ReGenesis.
