these are key tips. These are some of the best foundational tips that go towards your mental game when playing gears of war. The mechanical side is the easiest to work on because it's a matter of putting in the time. but if anyone knows.. dont train harder. train smarter. the more you know. the better it translates into your game after you put in the work.

I totally feel the one about timing your wall bounces and not spamming them. I found that one good bounce is worth a thousand bad bounces.

I think your the best player in the game Avexys. The tac com tip about marking before the smoke is great. Im always scratching my head wondering how guys have chunked me so easy when im in a cloud of smoke. Now I know. Just like you said..i learned something from this and every video I watch. These are very good tips cause i play with no hit markers because when it comes down to power weapons and i get nothing but hit markers with them i get heated because of how close people were to the explosion and i always try to practice with my Movement and my shots cause only if i fully master those or try playing the way other people play then maybe i wouldn't have so much issues but preciate the tips Rise Avexys hope to see you in a gears lobby one day respect to you bro.

1st time I saw a gears multiplayer video on years... I couldn't help but laugh at how crazy wall bouncing looks on this game. Good tips and I think I'll apply the last one to my other games too
I couldn’t get out of silver on FFA until I seen this video. I’m at Onyx just now and slowly getting through it. Still learning and adapting but this has helped me leaps and bounds. Determined to get to diamond. Maybe master scared to lose the rank rewards. Would love those skins tho
Actually feel pretty good about it, I knew all of these already and I actually play like this. Playing against better players is rough though but I’m working on it.
Gears 5 is my first gears I only played campaigns as I was young, I’m already a onyx almost diamond with about 5 days game time. My main issue is knowing what my opponent is going to do and what I do I feel like I’m every 1 on 1 I do the same basic movement every time and it never works because they just learn how I play this game you definitely have to do variety of different moves every fight

Have you ever tried roadie run and cover on different buttons? What's the benefit of using them on same button vs separate
Vertical cross short backwards wide spin slide is another good one
I love GOW3. I had so much fun and success playing that game.
When Judgment came out I didn't enjoy it so I stopped playing and drifted away from Gears.
I just got a X-Box as a suprise this Christmas.
I brought GOW5 and its cool to see old GOW3 maps Checkout.
Grid lock etc.
I'm gonna jump back in and see how it goes.
I been watching a lot of Gears vids to get a feel for tge game before I jump back in.
Maybe I'll do the campaign 1st?

I was always a beast at this series
I was very well versed in every weapon but specifically the torque bow
I easily beat many mediocre smashers with only 1-2 shots
Bro at 6:25 that bit about sometimes make random movement plays hella true like side ways backwards double kill wall switch into a slide backwards forwards into some shit then rolling perfectly away and all this shit can’t rely on it to replicate 😂

While these are good tips that I need to work on, my biggest challenge is having to deal with the lag when you play against players with lower pings.
I have the same 80 ping that I did in gears 4 and I never had to deal with the lag that I get in gears 5. Players with lower pings are like .5 seconds ahead of me and what I see on my screen, so in the kill cam I always see my character not react/shoot/etc at the guy who killed me, when I know I heard my gnasher fire before being killed. Also I will swap power weapons before being downed, and I will actually see my character hold a pistol or whatever weapon I swapped to as I’m down on the ground, and when I get killed the sniper/torque/etc drops from my body for them to pick up. The amount of horseshit in this game is astronomical.

I got good just from copying your controller settings. Made a huge difference
that my main problem im good at the game but when i get frustrated i literally start getting toxic and get a clouded mindset , i need to fix that, also thank for the tips man :)
@Yea Man its more luck, honestly. Sometimes you get a one shot, sometimes you dont even when you are in the same range, sometimes when you pull the trigger the weapon doesnt even fire, etc. The only skill in this game is the stupidly fast movement. Shooting in this is mostly RNG
I been playing since gears 1 and been playing the multi-player since gears 3 and on and i get why this game can be so hard for new players to pick up with the mechanics
Tip#1 - Don't pull out your gnasher and run straight at someone while they lancer you. Also don't proceed to complain in the game chat after you die from this 50 times and never learn.

Bro, I know I’m 2 weeks late but thank god im not the only one who experiences this. It’s either some pellets aren’t doing any damage, you get one shot downed or you take so much damage from a mile away. It happens on 2v2 mostly for me, but have had a few instances in 5v5. I’ve never seen a more inconsistent shotgun before. I’m not lagging either and my opponents have good ping too so it doesn’t make any sense.
I'm curious though I'm a bit of a novice but when you had put at around 8:00 to hold your shot, when you have died from that of a anyway? or you could have shot after he slid in and still killed him?
Nah, I literally just played that wrong after the first shot... since I hit him with a full spread and wasn’t hurt I should’ve played to get closer to ensure a down, but since I shot he didn’t go down and Up A’d me before I had another shot ready.
Can you explain what any of these phrases mean tac com? Up a? Back bounc?
Tip #6 avoid playing maps like Checkout and BloodDrive cause those are the sweatiest maps.
Not even the sweatiest maps, the spawns are horrible on that map and the hallways are rough to break through. It just em needs some work

I think this tips are very useful, but u know... When I Vs people like Glint for example and see that they just wreck me and have this monstrous movement, basically flying all over the map, u know, it just kinda discourages me, because I can't even imagine HOW I would get to move like that. I mean I seeked and practise tutorials for wallbouncing and movement, I can myself do a pretty decent wallbounce, but when I see certain players, man it seems like they have 3 hands while they play and idk how I could move fast and precise like that. What kind of train did they do to achieve that crazy movement, u know. Btw, great video! We as a community appreciate it a lot.
Haha, I understand bro. Glint's movement is very clean... but he wasn't always like that! It takes a lot of practice
@@Avexys thanks for replying 😊 I've just taken Glint as an example because he recently slapped my ass on ranked lol. I know he still isn't near to play at competitive though. But u know, my willing is to become a very good ranked player and just be able to 1v1 some strong people. Not wanting to go competitive, it just takes too much effort and time and tbh I don't think I'll ever have the skill to become pro. So yeah, I guess I'll continue to practice to get better 💪 Waiting for new videos, ure my favourite pro player! Pretty much enjoyed the last videos of ranked matches 😁
Ive tested the high ping theory ive downloaded games purposely or connected alotta of devices to my wifi to go from 24 to like 70 ping and was tanking and str8 destroying people high ping in the hands of a skilled player equals an unfair advantage its just facts...
I’d much rather be on 1 ping any day over 70. Having latency in your shots isn’t good because everyone’s shots will come out before yours. The only thing you’ll gain is lag compensation so you’ll hit some full spreads that you may not deserve
Rise Avexys - Gears Of War Prodigy - Pro Player facts i agree and that make sense ill keep my 24 ping but i still hate how you clearly shoot or point blank someone and they will sponge and shoot after you and body you but what i do now when i shoot I automatically wall bounce left or right or rodeo strafe and that shit has been helping... aye btw your a beast💪🏾
i dont have internet and play on my mobile hotspot my ping ranges anywhere from 60-180 and i'm still pretty consistent as long as the server itself isn't straight ass af lol.. cant get past diamond 1 in koth right now though 😔
