This video would've been really helpful before I went down the rabbit hole that is GoRuck. I've bought 3 bags (21L Slick, Bullet 15, and Kit) all within a week of each other. Great bags, the only problem I'm facing is which one I want to daily carry.
I ordered the Huckberry Slick 21L about an hour before the prices went back up. Should be here in a couple of days. Really glad I stumbled upon it as the only thing that was stopping me from ordering from GORUCK was all the external webbing.
So I am a big GORUCK fan. I used to live and teach in Busan South Korea for 9 years. I live in Jax Beach Florida now just down the road for the GORUCK HQ. Funny enough my wife is Canadian and She has her own red and black Rucker 3.0 and sandbag set up complete with Canadian flag 🇨🇦 Moral patches.
BRO you helped me decide! Thanks for so many good details. I'm going to get the new Bullet 15 because the lighter weight cordura, more flexible material and thinner straps. I like the Goruck aesthetic but they were overbuilt for daily use. Looks like the newest Bullet is perfect for daily, casual user. Only YOU covered these details in your review!
Have em both Ina few colors. I really like the taking out my 15 L bullit. It’s the perfect size. An honestly. I wish they would take gen 1 and remake it. It’s the best one. Not as big and with that extra pocket it’s perfect.
haha J(osh) T(om) in Seoul. A weird name, for sure, but in photography stuff I've been well known by that for years so there's no escaping it now ;) I probably should change it here on my small RUclips channel that's basic purpose is to get my wife to let me keep all these bags I like to collect ha.
Weirdly of all the Gorucks I have I end up back on this one a lot for edc. I have a field pouch attached to the front that gives it a bit of a Jansport vibe and works great like that. Have a video about the setup coming soon. Normally don't ask but if you do decide to get one would be awesome if you clicked through on my link ;) Mostly helps the wife allow more of this ha. Anyway, good luck with your decision. I've been thinking about a GR2 for a while but I'm tapped out of the bag fund.
@@jtinseoul7041 I’m over on my bag fund. That’s why I’ll probably sell the GR1 when I pick up the SK26 (basically the same bag). The GR2 (34) is the same footprint at my GR1 and is the perfect travel bag.
Have you thought about the Recycled Firefighter 12hr? Also one of my favorites and it is quite small. Smaller than the bullet 15 for sure. A really nice bag. Might be worth a look.
Yeah, they are built quite well with similar materials. My most recent video is on it's bigger brother. I would definitely recommend them it if the Bullet size isn't right what you need.
I think it really depends on how tall you are. For me, being a shorter guy, the 26 is a little tall for daily carry. I think for a taller person it's definitely possible to pull it off though!
@@jtinseoul7041 I’m pretty tall so I’m not really concerned about the bag fitting on my back. I’m just wondering if the 26L capacity is too much for EDC. 😅
I mean, how big is your load haha. I normally carry like a camera cube, stuff pouch for a tshirt and toiletries, and a tech pouch as well as small things like wallet and keys (plus laptop). For me, the 26L is like maybe 60% full with my loadout.
@@jtinseoul7041 oh nice! Thanks! I recently also purchased the Heritage. OMG, isn't it something special? It's like Goruck married Filson Journeyman and had a kid. And, that is the Heritage. What a beautiful waxed canvas backpack. I can't wait to see it worn-in!

The Bullet is definitely great for that. I think it's probably one of the best value bags there is right now.

Nice! Congrats! I think you'll enjoy it. It's a nice bag for sure :)
I’d love to see a 20L bullet from them one day. I like the lighter, slimmer profile of the bullet, but would love just a pinch more volume.

That's awesome! Busan is a great city, love it there! I've never been to Jacksonville but I am certainly a big GORUCK fanboy.

That's awesome dude, glad I could help! I REALLY wish I had gotten the bullet in the new multicam colour way haha.
@@jtinseoul7041 man I hope they do that new Bullet 15 in other colors like green or that navy blue last year!
Really helpful review. Definitely my next EDC. Thankyou for your thoughts.
Nice, hope you enjoy it! It's a great bag!
I own the kit bag and the gr1 best combo imo, Gr is the Land Cruiser of backpacks.

I'd LOVE a gen 1.
Justin! You need a new cap!😂
Josh! This hat is like my erm "pajamas" hat ha. I'll wear a different one in the next video just for you ;)

Good review. I really like the bullet rucker, but i think a showstopper for me is that it hasn't a camelbaghose opening.
I don't know much about water bladder stuff, but, the bullet does have the passthrough on the top for a hose.
Hmmmm
I have a standard GR1, GR2 (34L) and I’m getting a SK26 in a couple days. I think I need the 15L bullet now. Great EDC size.

Sounds good. I really like Bullet 15 / GR1 26 / GR2 as a kind of set. Still need a GR2 on my end, ha.
Thanks for this! I have a 26L GR1 and am trying to decide between a bullet and a 21L for EDC.
It's tough, haha. I tend to go back and forth between them. With the 26 already maybe the bullet is a good call.
@@jtinseoul7041 thanks! I really wish they still made the 10L so I had something at the other end of the spectrum entirely.

Yeah, they are built quite well with similar materials. My most recent video is on it's bigger brother. I would definitely recommend them it if the Bullet size isn't right what you need.
Goruck needs a 1680 Ballistic Nylon option.
I think a 1050D would be good. Kinda the highest level ballistic nylon.
awww yisss!!!
Glad you approve ;)

Hi Jtinseoul, how many Goruck bags you have in total?? :-)
Too many, is the answer. Haha. But then, can you ever have too many?
@@jtinseoul7041 Yes. Sorry, I mean No!
@@joekkl haha I watched your GR1 review before getting a 26L for the first time. So I'm going to say you're partly to blame ;)

Any chance you could check to see if a 15” MBP would fit in the 15L?
It will fit in the sleeve, just sans protection ;) Mine fits in fine. It's tight, but fits.
@@jtinseoul7041 thx man, appreciate it
That new multicam colourway is hot. Wish it have been around 2 months ago ;)
