I almost gave up on B1A4, my first ever k-pop group that I fell in love with. My love for K-pop eventually branched out and I started liking other groups. While the boys were on their hiatus, I became a fan of Bigbang & Exo. But there was something missing... Whilst listening to the other boy groups I then realized that B1A4 is so special, like a gem in Korean pop. They are so unique, different, fresh and just special. They may not be as popular as Exo, BTS or BigBang, but I will always support them. After watching Sweet Girl, I knew they were something else.

If they weren't I probably wouldn't have taken the time to watch all their variety shows and get to know their different personalities. They are certainly special and unique. Actually as a BANA myself, I always find how unique the demographic of our fandom. B1A4 has their own range of fans that usually is not targeted by any other groups (elementary schoolchildren, teens in their 10s and 20s, young men in their 20s and woman in their 40s). Other companies would never targeting this kind of demographic, given how unprofitable they are. However, without that companies even realizes, B1A4 actually set up the most loyal and polite fandom that K-pop world even witness. Ten years from now, that young fans will growing up older, but they will staying in the fandom and that will ensure B1A4's existence. Also, with a young demographic of fans, B1A4 have their own cute charm and their own definition of "sexiness". I believe B1A4 is the most family-friendly K-pop group you and me ever see. Most companies would never picked this concept. But, WM and B1A4 did that...and that thing will make sure this group will lasting longer and more successful than everyone ever expected. :)
This, this should be an official statement about BANAs. Jinyoung himself has said that their fanbase mostly consisted of the much younger generation, and that is why their music doesn't have much 'extreme' elements in it. He said that the most 'vulgar' word they've ever put into a song is "stupid" hahaha! These days KPOP tend to paint their idol boy groups with an impactful and manly image, but B1A4 maintains at their own pace - one comeback they're all cute and cheesy and the next thing you know they become men in autumn. I've been into KPOP ever since the TVXQ/SS501 days but I stopped updating since before EXO era - but strangely and amazingly enough B1A4 is the only group that I maintain a regular update on. These guys are too lovable to be put aside, B1A4 HWAITING!
+Elizabeth Edwin (Lizzy) I really like their songs but I almost feel as if they are getting too comfortable. I wish for them to push the trend a bit. I definitely think they need a national song to break out of their usual mode to get more popular. I hear some frustration from Baro when he indicated in a recent interview that it is still a struggle to define exactly what their genre of music is. To me, I have heard that before from him. Perhaps because of their young fans, they don't want to stretch their music too far from their typical cutesy style of music. But I think they have to take chance and widen their fan base with more mature adult theme music. It's my take on this for now.
