What you said at the start about maybe not seeking out the classics to listen to because they’re so ubiquitous and always around, that’s exactly how I feel about jazz as far as my person journey goes. There are so many classic records I own that I don’t listen to often because my focus has been on lesser known albums and musicians. I want to make sure going forward that I’m appreciating everything, not just the under appreciated stuff, but the true classics as well.
LA Punk Rock Museum would be nice to visit. I have had fun time visiting Finnish Punk Museo exhibitions. It could be hard to believe, but I have only listened Husker Du and X Ray Spex... Others I know only by name...
Hi Logan!!! I also think it's a good idea not going after or seeking the big/classic bands or tittles in punk or any other music genre, and thanks to the vc you keep discovering lesser know/never artist that for some reason when under the radar. To me this keeps happening with many cool hard rock/thrash/nwobhm from back in the day..... cheers and be well
In my circle of punk fans the Ruts are ALWAYS mentioned as one of the greatest ever. But you know, their album of Complete Peel Sessions is even better than The Crack. If you would like to see my write up of this album in my article on the 15 best punk albums I will post it here. Not sure the Wipers are punk. Rather a combo of rock, punk, jazz, psychedelic. But whatever they are they are TREMENDOUS. ALL their albums are terrific. An American treasure. Thanks for your post.
Glad to see Fear and Dwarves. People trying FEAR need to be sure and the real thing there is a re-recorded PC lyrics version that's almost identical cover, it's got a weaker guitar tone as well. If you don't have SUB HUM ANS day the country died its a perfect 50/50 blend of noisy guitar and catchy songs

I always passed over Subhumans, some of that UK and Oi stuff really passed me by. I like stuff like Crisis though.
@@broke.on.records a lot of the stuff like Crass and Rudimentary Peni can all run together, but Subhumans - Mickey Mouse is dead is gold. Lol 😆
