History shows that our Prophet (saw)! ORIGINALLY was illiterate from a writing and reading standpoint - as a historian of the Near East, I can back this up, because this was especially ubiquitous for those in the Arabian Peninsula, hence why most who could became poets and hence all the tribal matters and dialects - much like the Celtic regions before taking advantage of a writing system - lets not forget the Modern standard of Arsbic we have today is BECAUSE OF the Qur’an which is another miracle of the book
WITH THAT BEING SAID, I would find it RIDICULOUS to claim he was STILL illiterate by the end of prophethood - notably since the revelations were starting to be written down by others - he probably got a grasp of reading and so on by AT LEAST the time he fled to Medina - hence why it shows he asked for a paper and writing utensil while dying - I would DOUBT that he was still illiterate by the time he was dying!!! but while historical artifacts show NOTHING of Muhammad writing or reading in his early life (unlike some…. very few Arabs) - later in his life WE DO HAVE ARTIFACTS to prove he learned - like his letter to Munzir!!!! it was Muhammad who wrote that (which was only a year or two before he passed)

Don't always accuse others, when the guys are not around, for you may wrong them! Don't excite the mass by something they don't understand and are not their business!
Try to increase your knowledge and reach true understanding and help the ummah to improve their things.
Focusing on struggling among brothers in the ummah is actually detrimental!
