I honestly dont know why smb capital is not bigger. The value of this channel’s video alone is amazing! Plus, i attended the free orientation and the value of the 3 strategy is so great i started using it already!
They're so knowledgeable that many people are intimidated by them. SMB isn't for everyone but only to those who are serious about taking their trades to the next level.
No 2 traders will trade the same. If he's profitable and keeps his losses to a minimum. Keep doing what's best for you.
This is inspiring to see someone who is passionate about trading and i like how he uses moving averages! The first thing i thought about after fumbling around for 6 years now as i have adding and taking off variables is volume! For me I noticed if i want a trade that will continue through the day or last a day I need to see higher volume on the daily chart than the previous day and i pic charts that have moved clean in the past on particular days that have had good volume! Not to mention multiple other variables that i have picked up to add to it like symmetrical triangles and other things! But i sit here saying this as a 50% trader right now making small wins not exactly where i want to be but hope to be in the next few years or months but not giving up lol

I was finally successful in selling a put. I may have screwed it up, but I bought a 10.50 strike put in key bank thinking it would go down. Since it started to rally and I think the market will go up for a few weeks I then sold a 11 strike put which worked because 100 shares cost $1100 which I have in my account. So I got my money back for the put I bought and if it rallied above 11 I need to close it so I don’t get assigned the shares.

I would hope anyone applying would make a much bigger effort to learn the SMB methodology. It looks like Calvin is using price action methods taught by Secret Mindset and other RUclips channels. It is vastly different from SMB's methodology of making a detailed plan. Actually this difference is exactly why I'm joining the SMB training. Trading just by candles doesn't work. Combining a plan with price action does.
How do you join their training?

Question for you guys @SMB Why is the Catalyst so important as a day trader/scalper when executing a trade, you should be reading and reacting on what is going on in the specific moment to minimize downside risk. I understand knowing the Catalyst can give you and edge on a macro perspective, but it can also work as a negative when a trader has a bias on what is going to particular happen. Why not just have your Edge, your A+ Setups that you will execute on based on that specific edge, your risk management strategy and your specific criteria that you will have based on if a reversal occurred after execution. Worrying about a Catalyst i always considered as a waste especially when trading gappers. You have a Catalyst as one of the main things a trader should know. I feel when you truly have a system for executing your trade, managing your risk, & collecting profit worrying about a Catalyst is the last thing you should worry about & may even be a hindrance for newer traders.
reading and reacting to specific moments is the catalyst, if AMD comes out with good news over all market is consildating with sight positive drift, and AMD is showing the same nuetral to bulllish slant and consildating, heck lets say its in a flag or inverse HnS and you see a break out thats the catalyst. hey core PCE came in hot catalyst. conttinueing to just sell off day after day whie over all market is strong, cataylst.
Yeah they love their catalyst. Yet all kinds of pro traders trade the same stock list everyday no catalyst.

I think his point was that for every trade, it isnt enough to simply say its under 20 ema and thats bearrish set up. The thing with smb is they seem to be very keen on being process driven to a tee and so while we’ve probably all seen this type of trade a million times the ability to explain every single thing being done and why its being done is what he means by I don’t understand why. I think an answer like “it fell under the 20 ema which based on prior price action there appeared to be a shift in investor sentiment (pulls up article that may support that as well). The 20 ema isnt a “real” thing per se, so simply trading off that is extremely risky. And thats why he said often traders know more about their strategy than they realize. Your brain is actually processing alot more about the stock when you decide to take a trade like that but it’s important to be able to verbalize that completely

As Calvin was explaining what he's doing, I was constantly asking why. He should've explained his strategy. Why those EMAs? Why those specific entries? Why that target? Has he backtested it to know that it works 60%, 70%, or 80% of the time?
Too many unknown assumptions and variables. If you cannot answer why, you will have good trades sometimes and very bad ones sometimes. That is not healthy. You need to make steady profits and minimal losses.
I dont have a degree, and I am terrible with resumes, but I legit know how to trade. How can I prove myself?
