"Alan Wake II delivers one of the boldest and most brain-bending survival-horror storylines this side of Silent Hill 2, presents it with uniformly immaculate art direction and audio design, and reinvigorates the series’ signature light-based shooting as though it’s been locked and loaded with a fresh pack of Energizers. Even though its skill-upgrade systems seem a little superfluous and there were a few repeated cliches in Saga’s story that stuck in my craw, I nonetheless found both sides of this twisted tale to be endlessly fascinating, frequently fear-inducing, and consistently surprising. Alan Wake II is a superb survival-horror sequel that makes the cult-classic original seem like little more than a rough first draft by comparison."

This Review could have been a little bit more spoiler free - but the Game looks amazing
that's to say the least, I'm surprised they okay'd this to be put up before the game even came out

When he said why does everyone seem know the new character when she just arrived.. that was enough for me skipped to the score
exactly like "these are some of the elements with wake to make you jump until you know them" and then proceeds to describe to you what those elements are.

This game looks absolutely incredible. Remedy is one of the best in the industry
They've always been brilliant and unique. Great to see them still going so strong!
Control and Quantum Break are 2 of my favorite games of all time.

The DLC’s are worth your time as well, Signal and Writer, don’t sleep on those.

Remedy did it again. Just by looking at this review, it's clear as day it's a work of art, they put their heart and soul into it, full of high quality content, cannot wait to play it (after BG3).
You could've spared a lot of details for players to discover on their own instead of spoiling them here, not gonna lie, especially that some stuff haven't been previously confirmed or shown...

Insane they approved this for publishing. It's a story driven game and the dude casually summarizing the game without warning

Parts of this game are real life, you can tell the difference when it goes back to in game cut scenes.

Wait until you get in and find out that Alan Wake is a detective walking simulator with little or no action in some chapters.
Remedy is one of the few gaming companies catering to the loyal fans needs and livong upto the expectations..
All these great games cramped up in one year makes you question if there's even anything else coming out in the next year.
Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth, FF7 Rebirth, Persona 3 Reload, Alone in the Dark, Stellar Blade, Rise of the Ronin, Hellblade 2, Avowed, MS Flight Simulator 2024, Towerborne, Princess Peach Showtime!, Paper Mario and the Thousand Year Door Remake, Ark 2, Black Myth Wukong, The Wolf Among Us 2, etc. are all set to release in 2024.
Ark 2 lol. Still not a single gameplay trailer and a shiny new version go there old broken game with a roadmap for future updates including story updates. Ark 2 aint coming next year

Nah, Super Mario Bros. Wonder will be GOTY hands down. If it wasn't for Mario it would probably be RE 4 remake.
The movie and film inspirations that were mentioned are absolutely amazing. An experience that takes the best parts of stuff like True Detective, Se7en and Inception can only be amazing. After Control, I'll always give a Remedy game a shot. Can't wait to get stuck into this.

You remember Remedy's Max Payne? The second one was heavily based on Se7en's protagonist after his wife's death. Just check Brad Pitt's jacket and tie in the movie.

Im about 6 hours in. LOVING it. Love the investigation mechanic. Game is beautiful, and running smooth as silk. Remedy's Northlight engine is amazing.

I'm 3/4 of the way through and one of the most impressive things is the limited amount of bugs I've run into for a new game. Soo many games release half baked these days it's refreshing to play a game that's properly optimized.

In the middle of playing right now it's dope asf graphics are amazing and a very unique gaming experience reminds me of resident evil 7 but with more mind bending timelines. And the story keeps you locked in, also like how it chops it up in chapters so you can stop playing after you finish a chapter. And makes it where you don't want to benge watch/play so the game feels like it last longer
TLDW: Sweet Baby Inc. made a movie. Remedy was involved to some extent.

I'm glad to hear Alan Wake 2 is a success and I'm looking forward to adding it to my Steam library, now we just need Remedy to deliver another Max Payne sequel with the original Max Payne. Bullet time with todays technology would be insane.

the game was funded by epic games, will most likely never be released on steam

Can't wait to keep reading about everyone's graphics card frying even with DLSS on.
Maybe they should clean their pc. 6 hours in and my 3080 is doing great. Max settings 1440p, dlss quality. No RT though. To demanding without DLSS 3.5. Got the game running now, been playing over a hour straight and GPU temp is 50c. Then again my 3080 is the EVGA hybrid model (AIO liquid cooled)

Never played previous Alan wake games, just played and beat this one. Really fun, a bit annoyingly buggy towards the end (at least for me) but looove the psychological stuff, I’m a big sucker for it
