want to know something really cool? He's doing that vocal flip by breathing in. It's his own inward double voice technique which actually makes it easier to do with inward bass

Polyphonic = multiple frequencies simultaneous. Double voice = switching between mixed head voice and just head voice and back. Basically a yodel. Personally I find the term "Double voice" to be misleading as the two voice don't happen simultaneously.

This is actually the first time I’ve seen a non-beatbox reactor figure out a technique that beatboxers do. Most non beatboxers can’t even tell how Inward Bass is done or what the bass even is, but you hit the nail on the head in this video. I absolutely love how engaged you are in this. Please do more Beatbox reactions!!!
The vocal techniques that these beatboxers are just throwing out there are SOOOO amazing. Nearly unbelievable to me lol. This double voice flip thing is something I've really wanted to learn (along with the polyphonic singing). But this "double voice" crack thingy is INWARD. I think thats so cool that you can make this flip I'm so many different ways outward, and inward. Such a cool technique, I can't wait to get it down. ZVD is definitely a master with this sound.

I know you're probably being flooded with requests for more beatboxing reactions, but I still want to recommend "equilibrium -Tincture" the GBB23 wildcard version. I don't want to give away to much, but it is a tag team wildcard with two beatboxers performing and features a lot of pretty impressive singing. I would love to see you react to that. ZVD is probably going to make it into the competition. He was ranked number 8 by the judges in the first round and 11 people qualify
I think getting to see any of D-Low's tracks would be amazing, or even a deep dive into him as an artist? Keep sane, Hard sometimes and Sound Sketch are some of my favourite pieces in all of beatboxing. Definitely worth a checkout (also he was 2019 GBB champ)

@@teepee69420 yeah especially on a big stage such as GBB, there are bound to be problems. Even experienced beatboxers face problems sometimes
id love to see him win it but i dont think he has enough routines
Plus if pono qualifies to gbb, zvd will have a hard time beating him because pono is more experienced on double voice, and double voice is zvd's main sound
We need him to react to “Ya Na Ha”. All the differently techniques would blow him away
I'd love to see you watch a crew or tag team performance. For crew I'd suggest either YA NA HA's "free your life" or one of Berywam's MANY performances outside of AGT (AGT doesn't mix beatboxing well). For tag I'd suggest either "Tincture" by equilibrium or "Fuego" by Jairo
The reason he can do the inward bass and the double click at the same time is because the click uses no air, the inward bass just needs breath in so you can use any pressure based/breathless sounds with it. If you want some heavy bass and crazy techniques check out any of Osis' wildcards this season heaviest stuff in the scene rn imo

That click snare thing which honestly I also don't know the name for that technique, follows the same principle of doing hats (t sound) without any breath, which is just pushing and releasing your tongue against your teeth. To do this click put all of your tongue on the roof of your mouth, then while keeping the tip of your tongue strongly placed just move release the middle of your tongue from the roof of your mouth and repeat that motion in whatever tempo you want, the resulting sound is from the trapped air pressure and saliva being released, it can work with your mouth closed but it will be extremely quiet, so can be used for combos or effects with mouth closed. You don't need to be breathing to do that so you have free airway to do vocal techniques.

Would you mind reacting to Bizkit. Not only is he the reigning champion of the gbb loopstation category, but he also made it past the first round in the solo normal beatboxing category wildcards. This is basically unheard-of because being great at loopstation usually means you're not also great at solo but he's one of the rare unicorns that is good at both.

Please review and react to robin. He is out of the looper categorie but is one of, if not the best singer beyond beatboxers and has its own unique style. I recommend the first wildcard gbb2023 or the battle against bizkit from last year. Here the second response of him. I'll promise, you'll love it!

Something for me that made beatboxing click in my head, as to how they are doing multiple sounds is if you think about speaking. When you speak you make sound and you use your tongue and lips to emphasise language. For example the word 'click' has two K sounds in it, made by the tongue therefore we are all naturally using the same techniques in speech. It's just a more structured melodic version of this.
Please do king inertia and his gbb2021 solo wildcard performance on stage at gbb. Really you could do any but it's my favorite. Is really cool seeing a non beatboxers reaction who knows a lot about vocal and pitch. Keep up the great work!
the inward bass and the click together,, the click sound is the same sound when you smack your lips while eating maybe, like if you smack your lips right now you will see that its not your lips smacking and making the noise its your tongue smacking the roof of your mouth, focus sucking on the inside of your teeth with the outside part of the tongue and then letting go, kind of how you do a click where u suck your tongue to the roof of your mouth and release your tongue to clop the bottom of the mouth, but dont clop!, and inward bass, i know how to do inward bass but its just hard to explain how it works
