That's why I bought 2 of this ep on vinyl when it was released ,because I knew I'd play the hell out of one for gigs and one for personal use. It's a great homage to the original ,but with just enough of Martin's twist on it to make it a epic track. Cheers
This is such an awesome track. I can so see this dropped in a set where you've already got a lush vibe and atmosphere built up and then amidst all that this gets mixed in a few hours in. Good stuff.
I would say late 2005 - 2007 was a transitional time for a lot of music. Prog House was continually being redefined, as was "tech house" and a few other "genres". For me it was about the time to shed genre and mature into just finding great music instead of niche music. There were definitely great tracks released in this 18ish months of ether, but none that stormed the dancefloor like this remix. I remember DJing during 2006, but not many were memorable except for the night I dropped this track.
