- I finally got around to record a video and show you my Malawi Predator Hap Tank.
First time I show since I changed out the stock and moved my predators to their own tank.

@@michaelhayes8693 a few was aggression but its just been time and attrition. I have not bought a new fish since 2018.

Nice looking predators and aquarium. Looks like you have all the Buccos pretty much covered.. I love the Kwinge. He’s a rising star in my tank that’s just a touch over 8” but he’s getting pretty aggressive. Anyways thanks for sharing your video.

Do you think a S. Fryeri would be too aggressive in a common hap tank ie. Placidochromis and Protomelas?
ObsessiveCichlidDisorder thanks man. Nope. This guy grew up right alongside all my other common Haps. They do well in both. I’ve had him since he was 3.5”. He’s now 6.5 easily.

hello, thanks for watching...my dimensions (may be different per manufacturer) were 71 x 27. some manufacturers make their tanks a bit taller or shallower so please make sure you ask. For Example, the width of my tank is 72 but made my BG 71 to account for the thickness of my glass.

Frankie Kenneth okay thank you. I should’ve been a little bit kore patient. Wasn’t sure if I’d get a response from you since your video was made in 2018. I had put 71.5 x 28 last night when I ordered mine. I ordered the new cavern background from universal rocks. Does your background sit in flush or does it have a little wiggle space on the sides? I may need to call them and just have them shrink it a smidge. I got end caps on mine as well. Would you think I’d be okay at 71.5? Aqueon website advertises 72.5 in width and someone else suggested taking a inch of due to 0.5 inch glass thickness. What do you think?
@@jaredrice660 The BG on my 210 (this tank) does not have the end caps. I think you should be fine cause even if its snug, it flexes anyways. IMO, i rather its snug than too loose...ive had both and the snug fit is much nicer for cleanliness purposes...i actually siliconed this one in after much thought (the only one ive ever done that with)...youre fine going with or without doing that.
