To commemorate the year I’ve had, this is a personal holiday gift from me to you. “Sugarplum Elegy”.
This song literally came out of nowhere. I fully wrote and self-produced this in my bedroom, during a time where I felt cold and clogged, in every sense.
It’s funny because while I’ve achieved all these insane milestones professionally, this year has actually been the toughest personally.
But you and your support - you’ve been my Constants. Through the mountaintops and the valleys, you’ve been there. and I cannot thank you enough for putting me in this position. I love you guys so much!!!
Shoutout to my amazing team and family at 88rising for letting me put this out on such short notice, the way I want to. Apologies for the pre-holiday headaches!! Thank you for always believing in me.

i personally relate to this song hahaha this guy completely manipulate me by giving me false hopes of being in a relationship with him when he was in reality just playing me and look for me only when he was bored to the point that i was the last person he could call. i endured it for a bit with the mindset of “even just a little, i still want a piece of him” but then i realized that i was nothing to him from the beginning. moved on but still wondered about him from time to time. stood my ground though when he wanted to “reconnect and talk”.

This song has such clear vulnerability and it's so fragile that i may break it with each second i hear it. The desperate tone of craving someone's presence when they were never really there makes me want to get back something i never truly have. One of the worst part of relationship is when you're fighting on your own, it's like...burning yourself just to become someone else's candle. Not good at all. And the line "Im so proud i got to love you once" just makes it more honest in such a mesmerizing way. It's like saying "thank you for giving me the opportunity to break, now it's my time to collect the piece because i need to love myself in the way i used to love you."
