For companies and company drivers pilot flying j is a great solution. For an owner operator with a little bit of brains going their own way is better by a lot.

@@SpencerMcC I have no negative feelings, good sir. Just saying from my personal experience. When I said "small guys" I've meant small guys like myself with single truck operations. I'm pretty sure I still have an active account with P/FJ, but they could never beat the TA pricing for a single truck operations. Yes, I received a great discount from Pilot, but still it was like 8 cents higher than TA's offer. I know that 8 cents does not sound like much, but it makes a difference even for a one truck operations over the years.

Yep, but pilot flying j is not a Mercedes of the industry. All pilots run differently. Pilot doesn’t fix problems for small guys.

Any regional Truckstop chain beats Pilot in the region. The food on pilot flying j is absolute garbage that makes drivers unhealthy.
