Kent: Ahem. I was born in Ardrossan and have lived - and broadcast - in Scotland all my life. To quote from 'The Blood Donor', "We're not all Rob Roys, you know." :) PS: As usual I shall be closing down BBC-1 Scotland on Xmas Day. I always volunteer.
I met Tony Currie at the Test Card Circle Convention in 2002 and he seemed a really nice fellow. I thanked him for his book that he had published at the time about the Radio Times, which is excellent anyway. Well done of course!!
3:48 And now that Scottish Television and Channel 4 programmes have ended for Christmas Day, please don't forget to switch off your television set. From all of us here, goodnight.
Looking at the network output for Boxing Day ITV in 1985 it seems STV just took all of it and there was no regional differences at all for the whole of Boxing Day 1985.
Considering it's the festive holidays, STV probably didn't want to be bothered opting out of the network feed from London and so to save hassle, took what Thames was co-ordinating from London for Boxing Day.

Ah, back when STV was an ITV region and when it didn’t merge with Grampian. This was 21 years prior.
