It really hit me seeing Itachi crying all over his sword, for a guy who never show any emotion at that point, you can tell he was heartbroken for what he was gonna do, such an unique and amazing character.
Now Lindsay finally knows what makes Itachi so special! He finally realizes his mistakes and tells Sasuke the truth. He finally left like he wanted, as a hero of the hidden leaf. 🔥🍃🐐😭
Yes but whats more crazy, is that his plan would actually work if it wasnt for tobi/zetsus, assuming zetsus were the ones giving tobi the information on the truth about itachi. It's crazy to think how the truth about him would hae actually died with the elders, and sasuke would have most likely return to the village and be regarded as a hero to the village. Plenty off people dont see this happening even sasuke (after he learned the truth), the truth is that he was still a good guy, he despised orochimaru, and defeated him, and was only focusing on killing itachi. Itachi gave him the hatred he needed (as a uchiah) to become powerfull. And most importantly he had two goals all this times, the main one first was revenging the uchia and killing itachi, but the second one was to rebuild the uchia clan. After the fight vs itachi we can see sasuke like in a limbo because it was like he has lifted the biggest burden, if the village took him in, wich they would since not only they were searching for him, but also he got rid off major leaf enemies (orochimaru, and itachi), he would be focusing on rebuilding the uchia next and the village (also could have helped naruto against pain). So yeah, to be fair I agree with itachi in not doing all by himself, but damn, what he did if it wasnt for tobi, would have changed the entire course of the series (wouldnt be tat interesting tho lol). And even still he managed to recognise he failed while giving great advice to naruto and sasuke that can help them going forward. Honestly great caracter that was with top ones one changing leadnig the narative course of the series.

That’s a little bit different because those were used to seal the bodies vs something like the toska blade which sealed the body and spirit. The paper seals stop the body from moving but doesn’t seal the soul
I think the only difference is between those seals and the sealing of a higher, astral level, like the Totsuka Blade and the Reaper Death Seal, other than those two, yeah I think any normal sealing jutsu would be overcome.

I think about Fugaku's final words to Itachi every day. It just blows my mind how, even though he knew what was next, he still loved & respected Itachi so much. His final words and just the entire scene couldn't have been more perfect imo Out of everything I've watched, no scene has made me cry more

Dang, she got it 1000% right. Killing our favorite character twice, because if the first time didn't get you, the second (sader time) will. Also, dude, same man. I cried for quite a while after I watched the episode while clutching my Itachi necklace and placing a hand over over Itachi on my shirt.
Regarding the sealing and trapped souls. I read that Nagato was released from Itachi's seal when Itachi undid the Edo-Tensei, Nagato knew he would rejoin Jiraiya, because he had no doubt that Itachi would be able to stop kabuto and undo the Jutsu, when Itachi sealed him, it was because he was the link to the Totsuka blade, when Itachi released (Killed) himself by undo-ing the Jutsu, there was no more link, thus freeing Nagato to the afterlife with Jiraiya again.
wait i had a total different view on it, i though nagato's soul never went to the totsuka's blade... we literally see it going up while the edo body and tag in being sealed. I think only the physical part/tag that was binding his sould was sealed allowing his soul to be free? And im pretty sure im right...

So in ur view, hypothetically, Kabuto couldve re-summoned Nagato again? Because Nagato’s soul wasnt sealed, so all Kabuto would have needed to do was find another corpse? I cant quite remember but how did Orochimaru escape the seal? He was sealed in the Totsuka blade too right? And when Itachi died (Sasuke fight) i dont think Orochimaru got released, so i dont think the other guy’s comment holds either.
Orochimaru had pieces of himself everywhere and it was only a piece that was sealed, just like it was only a piece that was revived. Anko also has a piece of him in her curse mark. Nagato definitely could have been revived again by kabuto, provided he had so the materials he needed but that takes a lot of time, preparation and on top of that he would have to pause the entire war to get what he needs, so there was no way he was gonna have enough time with Itachi coming for him. Itachi cleverly let the soul escape before he grabbed nagatos edo tensei and waited for the soul to leave before he sealed the reanimation
in this anime each and every villains died a hero... truly a great anime showing the truth and reality of human lives just through the animated characters...just the most legendary anime ever....

Jiraiya and Itachi the two most impactful deaths in the show, very well written arcs. When I first watched it I was skeptical of the reanimated itachi story because it felt like it would go awry and would end up being overdone but Kishimoto did his character justice to the end. Something I can't say for Shisui who was kinda wasted.

yes bruv, dude lived his most of his life being known as a traitor to his village that killed his entire clan. The one thing he could do for his redemption was stopping the reanimation just saving COUNTLESS lives and giving his younger brother unconditional love even if he were to destroy everything Itachi sought to protect, because in Itachi's eyes, that is the one thing he could give Sasuke.
Even the 5 kages are nothing in front of the power that i wield this line its supercool and in specially in eng dub voice but at the end u remember this episode as itachi's story he was truly a kind child 😭😭

30:04 yeah, so Itachi cast the Izanami on Kabuto while he was in the loop, he also then used Tsukinomi wrong spelling lol and then made him tell him the hands signs to release it.... he was and is still under the Izanami tho... as far as I know of or always thought... :))
I think in the version Tobi told there's a scene where you see Izumi Uchiha outside the Leaf police station. I think the anime showed Itachi's connection to her with them being lovers. The story the anime tells with them doesn't have the canon ending. In the light novel written to extend Itachi's story, Izumi is the first person Itachi goes to in the Uchiha massacre. He wakes her up in the night and puts her in the most powerful Tsukuyomi we see him cast. She lives a full life all in a second where she and Itachi get married and die old. Itachi loved her and wanted her to die having lived a happy life. Only then did he take her life and move on to the rest of the clan. That story always hurt me the most. p.s. I almost referred to Tobi by his actual name and that would have been unfortunate.
Fugaku's love for Itachi was another reason for the Uchiha massacre , if it was anyone other than his son , who was acting suspiciously all through out by not attending clan meetings , Fugaku would have kicked his ass but he showed a soft corner to his son and that led to the night of Uchiha massacre

Imo the most underrated character in naruto, he could have beaten itachi if he wanted to stop him, itachi was genuinely scared of facing his dad, he was at least as strong as minato, but he decided to respect itachi's choice, because he was reluctant to use force for the coup in the first place, but was pressured by the clan because he was the leader. Itachi's novel did a good job of addressing his character.
Yea there’s no way to undo the seal besides an actual unsealing so yes nagato and the kage are in there right now. I would say you can compare it to being in the limbo
Something I'd like you guys to note about Madara at this point is that he's much more powerful now than when he was alive. Apart from Kabuto modifying his body so he could use the wood style, the greatest advantage of the reanimation jutsu how you can suffer injuries with no consequence-Madara has been hit and injured a few times now, but, unlike the living, his body automatically fixes itself and he suffers no physical drawbacks. Madara also essentially has unlimited chakra and stamina, so he's been using large scale jutsu for fun since he first appeared. We see that the Kage-some of the strongest of the current ninja are also relatively uninjured despite fighting Madara for so long. They aren't close to death, just badly exhausted, so our of chakra and options. The seemingly infinite gap between Madara and the kage is caused by the benefits of the reanimation jutsu. Madara basically wore them out.
He's actually weaker than when he was alive but he has a lot more jutsus because of Kabuto's experiments giving him the Rinnegan and Hashirama's cells with his prime body. And he has no stamina problems thanks to the infinite chakra reserves and regenerative powers of Edo Tensei. But he's still slower and weaker than his Prime EMS version. *Spoilers !* Once Madara came back to life, Hashirama stated he was regaining his past strength and thought that blind Madara was a huge threat. Meaning Madara's jutsus and overall abilities are greater alive but without the Rinnegan than as a reanimated shinobi with the Rinnegan.
Bruh you really need to watch some episodes again. If its reanimation jutsu then u are not at your full form. And then same goes for itachi he is in full form than when he was alive.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m pretty sure Kakashi was only trapped in Itachi’s tsukuyomi for like a picosecond, and it felt like 72 hours for him. He wasn’t trapped in it for 72 hours I don’t think.
Kabuto is DEFINITELY still under that Izanami at this point. Itachi said having him under it would make it easier to cast his usual Tsukuyomi genjutsu to probe his mind in interrogation. Why would he go through all that trouble of explaining Izanami and using it on Kabuto with hopes he could break free by accepting himself and reality if he wasn't going to let it play out? Also, since Izanami is an ultimate visual genjutsu surpassing anything else, including Izanagi and Tsukuyomi, I don't even think Itachi could undo it with jutsu at this point. Performing it cost one of his eyes, so to affect something on that level would require another sacrifice that's comparable you would think. Also, really wish Carson hadn't eliminated Shisui as a potential candidate for Tobi's true identity here. That's kind of annoying. If you watch Naruto, you have context and knowledge of events that help you understand why that doesn't make sense, but for those who haven't seen the show, I still think Shisui is a great red-herring and you might be able to theorize him as an option. Shisui dies and suddenly Masked Madara appears. They both plotted against the Uchiha--even though, their ideologies are different seemingly for what we've been shown so far of Shisui. I don't know. I tend to enjoy it more when the show is able to surprise and confuddle people's expectations and reactor's logic and theories are revealed to be wrong. By telling Lindsay he's not Shisui, that sort of steals away her ability to either make that assumption or work it out on her own that he's not. I think that robs away some of the value of the watching experience. Like borderline spoiler territory. Tobi's identity is my favorite Naruto secret I like to watch people react to see if they can figure it out some point before the reveal, but it becomes increasingly obvious the further we go into his fight. So we need as many potential candidates to throw off Ms. Big Brain over here. Lastly, Carson my dude, you gotta work on your poker face my guy xD Almost cracked a smile and gave it away that Madara was coming back. You shoulda acted disappointed that he was leaving and remarked about how cool he was more. Thank goodness it's revealed next episode though. I think it'd be more effective to play along with the direction of the show even if you know better in situations where it makes sense ;)
@@esabuu1.046 I know Shisui loved both his clan and the village, but we haven't seen a whole lot of direct Shisui character expression (Shisui dialogue and flashbacks). Most of what we know about him is through other people's account and interpretation of his actions. We learn a lot more about him through the Itachi light novel fillers. He seemed like a pretty down to earth kind of guy who was objective in his worldview. He was even willing to use his Mangekyo against his clan to manipulate them into ending the coup. When did Itachi say he knew for sure Shisui would've fought the village? I'm just saying it's plausible for someone who's been watching the show over the course of a long period to forget context or link certain things together that are ultimately incorrect but could make sense before hindsight. Imagine the possible twist where Shisui actually resented his clan for being so willing to engage in power struggles, fakes his death, comes back as Madara, kills them to further his goals and is actually this jaded individual instead of the positive older brother character Itachi looked up to. Itachi even said to Naruto, "you have the same soul as Shisui". If you know Naruto, you certainly know it was the author's intention to pit Naruto and Tobi against each other as foils and ideological opponents.
The reanimation jutsu used by Kabuto is known as Summoning: Impure World Reincarnation. I believe the idea is that the technique, through a human sacrifice, summons a soul from the afterlife (could be known as the 'Pure World') into to the living world (possibly the 'Impure World'). That would then mean that souls that do not reside and/or end up in the afterlife cannot be summoned with this technique. I.e the souls of those sealed by the Reaper Death Seal end up in the Reaper's belly, not in the afterlife, and therefore, cannot be summoned with IWR. The sealing jutsu in the Totsuka Blade could possibly be another one. The dubs also kinda mess with the terminology. Reanimation jutsu are like a category of techniques used to bring the dead back to life and the IWR is just one such technique. Another one would be the technique Chiyo used in the 1st season of Shippūden. Vast majority of the sealing jutsu used by the alliance against the reanimated shinobi are techniques used to prevent them from moving. Those sealed away like this are not dead, only immobile. Possibly unconcious, but 'alive'... well, as alive as a dead person can be lul. :3

Regarding the sealing and trapped souls. I read that Nagato was released from Itachi's seal when Itachi undid the Edo-Tensei, Nagato knew he would rejoin Jiraiya, because he had no doubt that Itachi would be able to stop kabuto and undo the Jutsu, when Itachi sealed him, it was because he was the link to the Totsuka blade, when Itachi released (Killed) himself by undo-ing the Jutsu, there was no more link, thus freeing Nagato to the afterlife with Jiraiya again.
wait i had a total different view on it, i though nagato's soul never went to the totsuka's blade... we literally see it going up while the edo body and tag in being sealed. I think only the physical part/tag that was binding his sould was sealed allowing his soul to be free? And im pretty sure im right...

I cant quite remember but how did Orochimaru escape the seal? He was sealed in the Totsuka blade too right? And when Itachi died (Sasuke fight) i dont think Orochimaru got released, so i dont think the other guy’s comment holds either.
Orochimaru had pieces of himself everywhere and it was only a piece that was sealed, just like it was only a piece that was revived. Anko also has a piece of him in her curse mark.
Nagato definitely could have been revived again by kabuto, provided he had so the materials he needed but that takes a lot of time, preparation and on top of that he would have to pause the entire war to get what he needs, so there was no way he was gonna have enough time with Itachi coming for him. Itachi cleverly let the soul escape before he grabbed nagatos edo tensei and waited for the soul to leave before he sealed the reanimation

When I first watched it I was skeptical of the reanimated itachi story because it felt like it would go awry and would end up being overdone but Kishimoto did his character justice to the end. Something I can't say for Shisui who was kinda wasted.

I think in the version Tobi told there's a scene where you see Izumi Uchiha outside the Leaf police station. I think the anime showed Itachi's connection to her with them being lovers. The story the anime tells with them doesn't have the canon ending. In the light novel written to extend Itachi's story, Izumi is the first person Itachi goes to in the Uchiha massacre. He wakes her up in the night and puts her in the most powerful Tsukuyomi we see him cast. She lives a full life all in a second where she and Itachi get married and die old. Itachi loved her and wanted her to die having lived a happy life. Only then did he take her life and move on to the rest of the clan. That story always hurt me the most.
p.s. I almost referred to Tobi by his actual name and that would have been unfortunate.

Imo the most underrated character in naruto, he could have beaten itachi if he wanted to stop him, itachi was genuinely scared of facing his dad, he was at least as strong as minato, but he decided to respect itachi's choice, because he was reluctant to use force for the coup in the first place, but was pressured by the clan because he was the leader. Itachi's novel did a good job of addressing his character.

Yea there’s no way to undo the seal besides an actual unsealing so yes nagato and the kage are in there right now. I would say you can compare it to being in the limbo
Something I'd like you guys to note about Madara at this point is that he's much more powerful now than when he was alive.
Apart from Kabuto modifying his body so he could use the wood style, the greatest advantage of the reanimation jutsu how you can suffer injuries with no consequence-Madara has been hit and injured a few times now, but, unlike the living, his body automatically fixes itself and he suffers no physical drawbacks.
Madara also essentially has unlimited chakra and stamina, so he's been using large scale jutsu for fun since he first appeared.
We see that the Kage-some of the strongest of the current ninja are also relatively uninjured despite fighting Madara for so long. They aren't close to death, just badly exhausted, so our of chakra and options.
The seemingly infinite gap between Madara and the kage is caused by the benefits of the reanimation jutsu. Madara basically wore them out.
He's actually weaker than when he was alive but he has a lot more jutsus because of Kabuto's experiments giving him the Rinnegan and Hashirama's cells with his prime body.
And he has no stamina problems thanks to the infinite chakra reserves and regenerative powers of Edo Tensei.
But he's still slower and weaker than his Prime EMS version.

Once Madara came back to life, Hashirama stated he was regaining his past strength and thought that blind Madara was a huge threat. Meaning Madara's jutsus and overall abilities are greater alive but without the Rinnegan than as a reanimated shinobi with the Rinnegan.

Kabuto is DEFINITELY still under that Izanami at this point. Itachi said having him under it would make it easier to cast his usual Tsukuyomi genjutsu to probe his mind in interrogation. Why would he go through all that trouble of explaining Izanami and using it on Kabuto with hopes he could break free by accepting himself and reality if he wasn't going to let it play out? Also, since Izanami is an ultimate visual genjutsu surpassing anything else, including Izanagi and Tsukuyomi, I don't even think Itachi could undo it with jutsu at this point. Performing it cost one of his eyes, so to affect something on that level would require another sacrifice that's comparable you would think.
Also, really wish Carson hadn't eliminated Shisui as a potential candidate for Tobi's true identity here. That's kind of annoying. If you watch Naruto, you have context and knowledge of events that help you understand why that doesn't make sense, but for those who haven't seen the show, I still think Shisui is a great red-herring and you might be able to theorize him as an option. Shisui dies and suddenly Masked Madara appears. They both plotted against the Uchiha--even though, their ideologies are different seemingly for what we've been shown so far of Shisui. I don't know. I tend to enjoy it more when the show is able to surprise and confuddle people's expectations and reactor's logic and theories are revealed to be wrong. By telling Lindsay he's not Shisui, that sort of steals away her ability to either make that assumption or work it out on her own that he's not. I think that robs away some of the value of the watching experience. Like borderline spoiler territory. Tobi's identity is my favorite Naruto secret I like to watch people react to see if they can figure it out some point before the reveal, but it becomes increasingly obvious the further we go into his fight. So we need as many potential candidates to throw off Ms. Big Brain over here.
Lastly, Carson my dude, you gotta work on your poker face my guy xD Almost cracked a smile and gave it away that Madara was coming back. You shoulda acted disappointed that he was leaving and remarked about how cool he was more. Thank goodness it's revealed next episode though. I think it'd be more effective to play along with the direction of the show even if you know better in situations where it makes sense ;)

@@esabuu1.046 I know Shisui loved both his clan and the village, but we haven't seen a whole lot of direct Shisui character expression (Shisui dialogue and flashbacks). Most of what we know about him is through other people's account and interpretation of his actions. We learn a lot more about him through the Itachi light novel fillers. He seemed like a pretty down to earth kind of guy who was objective in his worldview. He was even willing to use his Mangekyo against his clan to manipulate them into ending the coup. When did Itachi say he knew for sure Shisui would've fought the village? I'm just saying it's plausible for someone who's been watching the show over the course of a long period to forget context or link certain things together that are ultimately incorrect but could make sense before hindsight. Imagine the possible twist where Shisui actually resented his clan for being so willing to engage in power struggles, fakes his death, comes back as Madara, kills them to further his goals and is actually this jaded individual instead of the positive older brother character Itachi looked up to. Itachi even said to Naruto, "you have the same soul as Shisui". If you know Naruto, you certainly know it was the author's intention to pit Naruto and Tobi against each other as foils and ideological opponents.

Why I am addicted to these reactions
The reanimation jutsu used by Kabuto is known as Summoning: Impure World Reincarnation. I believe the idea is that the technique, through a human sacrifice, summons a soul from the afterlife (could be known as the 'Pure World') into to the living world (possibly the 'Impure World'). That would then mean that souls that do not reside and/or end up in the afterlife cannot be summoned with this technique. I.e the souls of those sealed by the Reaper Death Seal end up in the Reaper's belly, not in the afterlife, and therefore, cannot be summoned with IWR. The sealing jutsu in the Totsuka Blade could possibly be another one.
The dubs also kinda mess with the terminology. Reanimation jutsu are like a category of techniques used to bring the dead back to life and the IWR is just one such technique. Another one would be the technique Chiyo used in the 1st season of Shippūden.
Vast majority of the sealing jutsu used by the alliance against the reanimated shinobi are techniques used to prevent them from moving. Those sealed away like this are not dead, only immobile. Possibly unconcious, but 'alive'... well, as alive as a dead person can be lul. :3
