This great song was written by the fabulous Roy Orbison and Joe Melson. Roy Orbison originally sung and recorded the song in 1963 and it was later covered by the wonderful Linda Ronstadt in 1977. Really hope you enjoy my cover.

Sarah! This song reminds me of home, because I live in Louisiana Cajun country which is filled with bayous, more perhaps than in any other part of the country. Your singing on this number was moody, despondent but, in the end, beautiful, a bit like the Louisiana swampland itself.!! xx.

This is one of those truly classic songs written and recorded by Roy Orbison originally, the great Linda Ronstadt put her stamp on it and for me personally that is my favourite version, through Andrea Corr did a pleasantly cover a few years ago.
