I like the Polish culture and food out there on broad street - teaching my kids to enjoy different types of things right here in CT. Appreciate this great piece about our city as well as the stories of the people who were featured! Looking forward to going to Little Poland and experiencing more! #NewBritain #Connecticut
Little Poland one of the most interesting pieces I have seen shot on New Britain in a long time. Worth watching from beginning to end and then worth watching again.
yes it is true....we had $200 in our packet and my wife Ela was pregnant with our son Robert. We paid for tickets after selling all most valuable items in our possession. Please visit our restaurant :)
Roly-Poly bakery still across from the firehouse? Wow. In the 1960's i would love going there, especially early mornings and get a half-dozen ONION rolls. Not like the cheap rolls in the stores with a little onion on the outside. They actually had "onion pieces" both inside and on the outside of the roll, actually cooked right in. They were the best EVER.
We packed our bags and we moved... hmmmm! Interesting story! I wonder how they legally immigrated to the US unless they are doctors. I’ve seen many Polish and Romanians in New Britain... most of them were struggling to be legal in the country and were living on the streets with nothing. Unless she moved there in the early 30’s, she shouldn’t make it look so easy! A bit disrespectful towards the real life of Polish people in the US in 2018

What is the name of your restaurant? And where?
Officer Kisluk, long time no see!
I used to work out with him at Tully's Fitness Center in the early 80's.
I know the Connecticut Polish. They treated me pretty darn good considering I don't have one drop of Polish blood in me. Poland rules .

I'd pass through all the time on the bus but never stopped. It does look fun

My Black friends here in New Britain do not always feel as welcome in Little Poland,
I wonder why?
