Durga Khote seems like a dynamic personality which I just loved in this interview. I just wish the stars of today could have such amazing character traits such as her. Very few do.
Her rolls as mother are always best. Whenever I become emotional after remembering my mother I used to see her movie Bidaai. I see my mother in her.
Golden age.. Where interviewers gave respect to stars.... And vice a versa..... No disrespect , no cheap gimmicks.. What have we come to...what have we done to ourselves . It's so sad
Tabbasum is a personality that she knew, seen and met Celebraties of 1930s to 2019. She knows about nearly 100 years Celebraties.
Durga Khote was one the greatest actresses of all time. I can't find a word to describe her talent. also she was beautiful woman
Must watch movie Bidai with Jeetendra and Leena. That movie made me cry because of Durga Khote.

Durga ji reminds me so much of my own grandmother. She was a rajput princess who was just as soft spoken, beautiful and elegant. There was something so graceful,nuturing and loving in her persona, just like durga ji.

The late Durga Khote Ji was an exceptional artist. With her regal and degnified bearing, she stood apart from her contemporaries. In her autobiography, "I, Durga Khote" (translated from Marathi), she candidly recalls her entry in the cinema, which like many others, was circumstantial. But she established herself and claimed a unique position in the history of Indian Cinema.

2) Azurie, dancer-actress before Helen and even Cuckoo. She started in the 1930s. Acted in Ratan 1944 and Shah Jahan 1947.
Migrated to Pakistan after 1947.
3) Ulhas (real name MN Kaul), who debuted in the film Basant in 1940. Acted in many films in 1950s and 1960s.
4) Mumtaz Shanti, heroine of Basant 1940; also of Kismet 1943 (hero Ashok Kumar).
5) Rehana (heroine of Dilruba 1950 with Dev Anand) who later migrated to Pakistan, long after 1947.
6) Paro aka Paro Devi, started acting since 1940s.
7) Wasti. You acted with him in the film Phir Wohi Dil Laya Hoon of 1963. Also Amar and Krishan Dhawan from the same film.
8) Bibbo, actress of the 1930s and 1940s, who migrated to Pakistan at the time of partition in 1947.

Love Tabassum and how she dresses. One top quality of the past artists was they all had their own style.They didnt copy each other they didnt care what the other wore they all dressed for themselves and were happy. Zeenat has own sexy self and Parveen had her own angelic pretty style, Rekha her own, Neetu her own, Shabana her own. Their makeup and hair was unique to them. Even when resolution of a pucture isnt clear one can tell from body movements who it was. Now ypu have to take a microscope to identity which star it is
