The right thing to say if you've actually regretted your decision is something like, "I made a huge mistake early on in our relationship before I was taking it seriously and I cheated." 1: I liked your comment because I fully agree.
2: The person who will carry the child is the only one who makes the ultimate decision no matter any former agreements or interests in wanting kids.
3: I've always found it odd when people list not being able to drink or smoke as a reason. Some are joking and are still the ones who has the right to make the final decision. But is that really the deal breaker?
4: Although the one who'd be carrying the child gets to make the final decision, both parties who'd parent the child need to be on the same page if they're going to even attempt raising the child together while married.
5: I'm fully aware of and support single parents knowing that it doesn't stop them from raising an amazing child. But a marriage would not function if only one of them was involved in having children. The child being in a household where only one of the parents wants them might even be more problematic for the kid than shared custody because they'd be constantly traumatizing living under the same roof as someone who literally didn't want you to exist.
You can see such obvious differences in the relationships that'll do well and ones that'll be a bit tougher for them to go thru. The guy w the glasses and girl w the brown/blonde hair obviously have a great connection and it seems like a lot of mutual respect. Whereas the guy w the hat and girl w the bun still have some obvious resentment and it seems like they're fighting for a power dynamic.
