    Excellent interview, Nigel. Gavin is someone I can listen to for hours, he talks knowledgeably about other faiths, does not dismiss arguments out of hand and has a tremendous sense of humour. He is a passionate Christian, as he said, and it's apparent in everything he ever talks about. Try and make another interview with him soon, please Nigel - this sort of discussion knocks the BBC and Sky ones right out of the window.

      Christians of even 100 years ago wouldn't have even recognized him as being Christian. They would have viewed him as a Talmudist posing as a Christian.

    I like Gavin a lot and very grateful for enjoying 90 minutes of conversation with him (and Michael Nazir-Ali) over on my channel for anyone who may be interested.
    However, these types of conversation (culminating in utopian nonsense about Christian and Islamic theology living “peaceably side-by-side) makes me wonder if we have any sense of eternity whatsoever.
    “We want more boldness among the friends of truth. There is far too much tendency to sit still and wait for committees…We want more men who are not afraid to stand alone. It is truth, not numbers, which shall always in the end prevail. We have the truth, and we need not be ashamed to say so. The judgment day will prove who is right, and to that day we boldly appeal.”

    Has anyone give thought to the idea that, very soon, Liz Truss may well take a stand against Boris Johnston for PM, so what a better time to send her on £500,000 flight and then tell the MSM all about it , don't forget all the deals she signed up in her previous post , also please remember who the person is she is dealing with

    I live in Brittany now and the amount of state money spent on maintaining and refurbishing is remarkable. These beautiful medieval buildings all around where I live are coming alive again. My local church even has an organ gifted by Cambridge University about 17 years ago. !
    Then I see England where they are being converted to mosques, grave stones crushed to provide ballast for the car park, turned into cafes and clubs, bulldozed etc.
    And walk into any CofE church and you feel nothing, just an empty space.

    Gavin is a great man,we are so happy to have him join our 1.4 billion global catholic family.
    the protestant denominations are collapsing because they were false to begin with ,
    Luther of Henry are not divine like Jesus Christ and men cant start a church.
    But still its sad tosee the anglican church destroyed and islam and athiesm take over..I dont know witch is worse.

      💯👏👏😆 we are acquiescing to Islam and it is utterly unacceptable. We are being invaded by these military age males, where are they going to live? it cannot live peacefully, realistically, because they hate Christianity and all other religions. They have archaic, misogynistic and brutal ideological beliefs. Look at the invasion we are paying for now! People need to watch videos on the migrant problem. Mainstream ignore it. Bless you in God's name, fellow RC.

    Atheists don't have to share? That's a rather startling, prejudiced claim, isn't it? Can anyone imagine Dr Ashenden saying that Muslims don't have to share or that Conservative voters don't have to share? No, thought not.

    • @HiddenGemi
      @HiddenGemi 3 года назад +6

      Who or what says that all atheists have to share?

    • @laurameszaros9547
      @laurameszaros9547 3 года назад +1

      @@HiddenGemi The sound ethics with which my atheist parents raised me taught me to share and to treat others as I would wish to be treated myself. Atheists are as capable of both altruism and courage as believers of any kind, anywhere. The golden rule, doing unto others as one would wish to be done to oneself, long predates Christianity.

    • @helenel4126
      @helenel4126 3 года назад +5

      @@laurameszaros9547 and what is the basis behind the golden rule? Atheism has no basis, because it has no source from which morality and decent ethics derive. Atheism is a belief in nothing. With such a belief, a follower of its creed can choose what direction he will follow.

    • @laurameszaros9547
      @laurameszaros9547 3 года назад +1

      @@helenel4126 Atheism is not a belief in nothing. It is simply a lack of belief in supernatural claims. Moreover, despite Jesus commanding his followers to love their enemies, Christians have shown throughout the ages that they are pretty good at ignoring that teaching. Most Germans and Austrians during the Nazi era purported to be practicing Christians, but this fact did not seem to stop them from choosing, in your words, which direction to follow, namely in colluding, whether by omission or commission, with arguably the greatest genocide in history. Having had numerous atheist friends, acquaintances and family, I find it defamatory that anyone should allege that atheists are less likely to be moral than anyone else. The basis behind the golden rule is empathy, the capacity we all should have to understand and wish to alleviate the sufferings of others, and which Christians, in my experience, are no better at displaying than atheists, or indeed anyone else, for that matter.

    • @patrickparsons2378
      @patrickparsons2378 3 года назад +6

      @@laurameszaros9547 Atheists are only moral because of the deep rooted influence of Christianity on the civilization and societies of Europe and the West over the last 1700 years. Your moral codes and behaviour are not innate or natural, they are the product of that history and culture. In moral terms, atheists are the illegitimate children of Christianity. If you want to stare into the face of atheism that denies that Christian moral inheritance just read Karl Marx, Nietsche, Lenin and Hitler. And we are on the road again with atheistic Wokeism which utterly denies morality and the Christian inheritance, and which will once again lead to camps, gulags and extermination.once you cancel people, the next step is you eradicate them. That is the terrible truth of atheistic arrogance: killing and destruction without guilt, without atonement, without redemption, without humanity.
