Because in the races the M3 GTR did compete in, it dominated in a mclaren f1 gtr way. Though apart from that, I just think that the m3 gtr looked and sounded better than the m3 gt2 or z4 gt3. The only thing that comes close is the m6 gt3.

In conclusion: dont judge the sounds of racecars based on videos UNLESS its a video showing f1 v12/v10/v8 vs v6 hybrid ;)
You obviously havent been to a gt race with both cars yet... The z4 isnt that loud jesus christ ofc the z4 is louder than the new cars but the m6 doesnt sound bad thats what people assume bc of this video but thats wrong. Loud is not everything as you will see when you visit a wec race and listen to the horrible sound of the 911 rsr. On video it sounded really cool but irl it just sucks
mlx 552 The Z4s downshifts changed over the last couple of years. Probably due to regulations in VLN. Downshifts were bruuutal!! Imo, the Z4 is the most beautiful, best sounding, most soulful GT3 car of all times. Although the M6 does sound awesome in real life.
MZworldstudios are you sure it's 4.4 engine? Edit: after some reading, earlier version had 4.0 engine, but after August 2010 bmw had it homologated to just under 4.4L due to power shortage

Nothing compares to the sound of an M6 GT3 when it downshifts and coasts around a sharp turn... it sounds like the earth is crumbling underneath... the sound of the Z4 is too sterile for my taste

the M6 is sadly very quiet and just lacks emotion especially since you can't hear it when other cars are around, speaking from personal experience
