I dated my 5th grade friend. We reconnected on a dating app. We talked a lot then before moving onto the phone. I was driving to work and he asked my birthday since we’re both virgos. I said 9/20 and he said he is 9/18. Same year. I giggled and said “Haha! You’re two days older than me!” He went silent and I thought to myself I said something wrong. He asked me if I grew up in the area. I confirmed. He asked me what name I went by and I mentioned one nickname. He told me that was not it. He then blurted out my childhood nickname and I swerved and almost brushed the wall with my car. I asked how the hell he knew that and he told me “You told me the exact same thing on the jungle gym during recess back in 5th grade!” We ended up together for years until I messed it up. I had childhood trauma that led me to addiction and he rightfully threw me out. We are friends now, but the love days are past us. Almost 40 years of history and counting.
It’s a bit sad they didn’t do the French one, but yeah it’s very similar to both Italian and Spanish, there are some differences depending on the chef of the school but I think now they have to do everything from local suppliers and yes it must be fresh. Also one big difference that I saw in the U.S. reactions, is that indeed lunch is a full meal in France and the Mediterranean countries. You should eat as much for lunch as for dinner and we have a 2 hours break for lunch (usually 1h) and then 1h that we can use either for optional classes or sports, or just chilling with your friends in the courtyard. Also buying your own lunch or bringing your own food is not super common. At most what people would do is if they want to have a lunch out together with friends, they might go to a snack shop nearby from time to time, but not everyday
Have you ever dated your high school crush?
School ended just days ago and No. I don't even know if I regret it.
No. 😢
