Ay Dios mío…!!! I’ll take days like this over any hatchery blitz on trophy fish. Pure hunt , you are not fishing anymore, you are honoring the game Tim. Hope more sport fish quality keeps improving and more guys follow your hunting approach with a fly rod in hand. Absolutely awesome 👏👏
thanks Mag! Trying to spread the gospel. Fly fishing is the ultimate way to target striped bass. I appreciate the kind words... I always love reading your comments. Happy fishing!
I’d say at least a 9 weight. You want some backbone so the fight doesn’t last too long. Fight can be very tough at the end with anything less than a 9.
ruclips.net/video/6F5XQGQcx6g/видео.html That's for a jig head. Couple important differences between the two: for the fly, wrap lead wire around the shank. Use a bunch, but leave enough space for lead eyes near the hook's eye. With the hook (vs. jig), you can use a small cylindrical pushing tool to push your hair forward after spinning it. Way better than using your fingers, like I did in my tying video. Good luck! Leave any questions in the comments, happy to answer.

Thanks Jerry! I believe it was my friend Stephen Lobosco who coined the name. Too clever not to make it official =D
Great camera angles and fantastic fight!!!
Thanks Scott! I love fishing alone, but it always helps with the content to have a friend nearby. Glad you enjoyed it!

nice fish Tim I'm sure it took u by surprise
Oh hell yeah. What weight do u recommend for something like that bass?

Nice keeper good fighter 💪
Great vids Tim. Keep up the great work. Do you use a full float line?
Yes I do. I'm down to add a sink tip, but I need to be able to mend, so I'm always running a floating line.
Do you know if there is a tying vid or info for the Holy Moley?! Great vid 🤘🏼

Is this in South Carolina?
What line are you using?
weight forward floating - 9 weight. Steve (in the video) loaned me the reel and line. It's likely Cortland line.
Where can I get that fly ?
I tie them. They take a while to tie, so I haven't sold them. I think I'd have to charge too much to justify it.
